I hate new year's eve...it's amateur night. I'm going to chill at home, get up early on new years day and just watch movies!

New Years eve is spent watching movies by myself until 12:00. I turn on the TV just in time to watch the ball drop. Depending on how I feel I go to bed or watch more movies.

Hey now... My dad and I are experts at drinking tequilla at HOME one shot every 15 minutes starting at 9pm... but we are smart enough to only drink water inbetween the shots! It became a tradition after my brother died 8 years ago...

I usually fall asleep on the couch waiting for the ball to drop.

(I've never seen it in person, by the way....REAL NYers know that it's too friggin cold to stand out in Times Square just for that for hours on end with no bathrooms. Besides....um, 15,000 tourists standing in a crowd....all facing the same way with their heads up to the sky? Yeah...can you say "Pickpocket Heaven"???)

I will buy a bottle of champagne and drink it at midnight.. and go out to watch the neighbors set off fireworks.....

I have a 5-day weekend over New Year's this year. Trying to decide if I want to hole up here and spend the time alone or go...someplace. Guess I'd need to figure out where, though. :o

If I do stay here I think I will continue my recent tradition of watching the entire "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, eating a really good dinner, and basically doing whatever lazy-ass nerdy things I want.

We usually host a party with friends. The kids sleep out and we just have a good time... like we use to do every weekend before children, lol
