Chat Room Info

Sandy, Zifnab and I just had a discussion in the chat room and I felt some of that information should be shared with all the members. First, thank you Zif for the information.

When in chat please note that public rooms are "Public". Even when you feel it is just you and one other person in the room, you conversation is being recorded and can be brought back up by anyone entering that room. This is not a setting by this site, but rather a feature of the chat program.

If you would like to have a "Private" conversation with one or multiple people, the best way to do this, is by "Add"ing a room and making it private. Entrance into these rooms is by invitation only, and are not visible to anyone other than invitees.

To "ADD" a private room:
1. Click on the "ADD" button located in the right-middle of the top toolbar of chat.
2. Enter a name for your room.
3. At the bottom, under the name is two radio buttons - Public and Private
4. Selecting Public (the default) - it will just add another Public room similar to Lounge, HotTub, Drive-In, etc...
5. Selecting Private - Will create a room only you can see
6. Enter the room like you would any other room.
7. Click on the name of any member you would like to invite, and you will see the option "Invite"
8. They will receive a "Accept or Decline" message and can make the choice to enter or not.

I was in that train wreck today that I believe you are referring to.while it was no disaster it became very complicated. I had 3 different names talking to me at the same time--there was no option to accept or deny when their PM's came on. I'm not a complainer but I'm glad someone noticed that! Thanks.
