Chris has had the operation

It was malignant but shes had the lump removed and shes sitting up in bed 8.30pm today considering she went in the operation 9.30am this morning and back in the ward 1.10pm, and shes kept down tea and water and a sandwhich, so hopefully she will be home according to the speacilist tomorrow all be well.:wa:

I know I know but Im happy with chris now and as sad it is losing my dad, realisticly thats life, I dont wish to sound so cruel but I dont think it could have got any worse today Im holding it in for chris at the moment I feel like going to the beach and sobbing but I musnt I got to stay supportive of chris so Im doing the next best thing and am on here staying away until my eyes close .

Sorry about that, been busy doing the housework etc as chris must take it easy. Shes doing really well and is sitting up at home now, she came out Tuesday and the district nurse has been here twice changing and emptying the drip, and all being well this will come out Monday on the next trip to the hospital. The lump was malignant but the specialist took quite a bit away and the results for the lymth glands wont be known till Thursday. Im sorry I havent been on but I will do an uptdate,:wa:

I will try to I admitt I am very tired but my chris is important to me I am looking after her and missing everyone and everyones thoughts are so much cherished. We had one of the sisters come round yesterday and she brougtht round a lovely bouget of flowers from the sisters it was really moving, it brought me to tears I tell you. Yes my chris is doing really well Im so proud of her.

Guess I have been more busier than thought, but I will keep everyone updated as thats the least thing I can do, you have all been so kind and that means so so much. Its a busy week next week, the drip may come out, and the round trip to the hospital is 52 miles from my home, then Tueday I have my fathers funeral another round trip of 52 miles in the opposite direction so to speak, then Wed back up the hospital for the specialist reports on the lymth glands to see if they are clear, then thursday over yto the solicitors another part of the uk a place called Suffolk a round trip of 180 miles, friday shopping, so a bit hetic next week, so I hope i can give everyone a update wed or thursday of next week.

I am being Mr Nightingale as best I can, and we are getting by and thats all we can do, Im hurting because of being disabled, but a nurse comes in for chris to drain the plug but the rest I can do but it hurts and at least love is here and its so nice to have my chris around me. Dave, glad to hear Chris is on the road to recovery. Take something for your pain so you can continue caring for her and yourself. Remember to take advantage of any Visiting Nurse services your area may offer, they may even help you with housework and shopping. Get plenty of rest if you can. Keep your chin up.

Just to update you all, chris has got to go back to the hospital for a radiation injection 6th April at 1.05pm, then the bone scan at 16.00hrs the same day to determine if the white blood cells have got into her bones. It should have been today but the hospital phoned to say they had overbooked, Im a bit annoyed but accidents do happen so to speak. So we have got to wait another week

Holding up ok now, as the lump has been removed, but the specialist who done the operation said their was a growth on the lump he removed, but hes hopeful that by removing this plus a good half an inch alround he may have removed the cancer cells, we wont know obviously until chris has had this injection and scan. The professor who done the operation has referred chris to a chemotherapy doctor who will explain everything in detail, but what is going to be tiring is the treatment as it involves a 30 minute drive to the hospital in Norwich if its radiology, but if its chemotheraphy its a 2 hr drive to this particular hospital and this journey has to be done daily for 4 months and here is the problem I cant do it it will tire me so much it could have a knock on effect to my health and to our bank account, it will break us.
