It's ALWAYS a tough game against Baltimore! No need to say differently there! That is exactly what makes any game the 2 of them are playing worth watching!!! They ALWAYS play tough against eachother no matter how good or bad either is doing during the year...

There was a 23-20 OT loss and a 13-9 controversial ending in the Raven's two losses, so any overconfidence on the part of the Steelers would be foolish.

Damn that game against the Ravens is exactly as it should be, really the two best AFC teams (sorry Titan fans) going head to head in the cold January night. Hoping that the fact Baltimore already played 2 tough physical games will take its toll on them a little, but even with that, they are going to be a very tough opponent for the Steelers for sure. Here is hoping for an all-PA Super Bowl!! Did you notice how much Big Ben hates to lose! The guy is tough in the clutch. Going to be a great game Sunday!! If I am lucky enough to go again as I did yesterday, please hold off the Jack Daniels until halftime!

I have been to one Steeler Game and it was here in NC against the Panthers but it was a great game... it was about a 50/50 split between the teams as far as the nubmer of fans in the stands but the energy was unbelieveable!!! that was a few years ago now but I will never forget it!!!

and there are a LOT of Steeler songs out there...

that was an excellent play call. It caught SD off guard and the result showed it. They got the ball back because of the "muff".... (for some reason, I never think of football when I hear the word "muff")

Another Monday with a hangover from all those brews consumed watching the beloved Steelers kick some Raven a$$, so sweet watching them beat the tough division rival for a 3rd time, and what can you say about Troy, the guy grabs the spotlight with the biggest play of the post-season, and you knew it was all over when he snagged that ball. Onward to the Super Bowl!!!!!!

Congrats, Steelers Fans!!!

By the way, Steeler country looks a LOT like Minnesota, lol:
- Mike Tomlin (former Vikings defense coordinator)
- Mewelde Moore (former Vikings running back)
- Matt Spaeth (former Gophers tight end)
- Gary Russell (former running back)

I can not say I am a Steeler fan, but I do have to admit they seem to be the team to beat this year. We'll see if they let their heads get to big for themselves again and not preform...they have done this in the past.

Good luck in the Super Bowl.

I love my Steelers... It's going to be tough seeing as if any team has some insight on our defense the Cardinals do... Considering their Head Coach and Asst. Head coach used to be our Offensive coaches... Should be a good game but I don't think that the Cardinals can prepare for the physical game the Steelers bring. but they have surprised 3 teams in the playoffs so you can Never count them out... Should be one hell of a game...

I thought I had on another thread, but I am remiss on this one.

So kudos and hearty congratulations, Steelers' fans. Although I'm only a casual NFL fan at best, I've always admired the Steelers' organization.

Sorry, I am a Vikings fan til death.. the game was a good game at the end... and at the beginning but I totally lost interest at the middle...

I was really hoping the Cards would win.. and I think they really had a chance... I do have to say that that last touchdown was amazing though... Pebbliepoo was the only one at the house who was rooting for the Steelers and let me tell you... she would have done you all proud... made me sick... but whatever...

I was on the field at the end of Super Bowl XL for the last Steelers win, and in that game as well as this one I was amazed at how many Steelers fans were there. Both games were almost home games for them... and as a former resident of the area I was naturally pleased to see such a good game end so perfectly. What catches by both Fitzgerald and Holmes to provide the thrilling final minutes!

The best Super Bowl in a long time!

JonJon62
02-04-2009, 08:18 AM
The funny thing, if you watch the Harrison interception and run back, Fitzgerald was actually blocked by one of his own teammates standing on the sidelines and thus only was able to make the tackle too late .... It's amazing .....

Isn't it great that when you're a fan of something so fabulous everyone else hates and roots against you? WHY IS THAT???? People are always like, "I want the underdog to win." Well, then why don't they root for the Cubs???? Grrr!

Needless to say, that game was amazing! We were biting our nails and my husband was bouncing his leg in worry at the end! Even if the Cards had won, I would've said it was one of the best SB's ever!
