What anniversaries are important in your life? They can be happy ones, such as the birth of a child, or painful ones, such as the loss of a loved one. Share them here.

Great thread SW.

First and foremost is the day my brother died. I take the day off every year and just hang around and enjoy the memories.

Not so important, but significant this year. I will have worked at my firm for 20 years in April. Amazing. But it's a great place to work and I've been very fortunate.

My wedding anniversary, of course.

I have a very painful one coming up...March 1 will be the 24th anniversary of suffering a stroke from prescription medication. That is the day part of me truly died.

My children's birthdays are happy and precious ones for me.

I got lots and the ones for Feb & March are;

I had my 24th anniversery at the company I work for last week. And I thought I would be lucky to stay there 5 years when I joined.

My 2nd daughter turns 18 at the end of this week.

Next week will be 32nd year of having Type 1 diabetis. A life changing situation for me.

And in about 4 weeks my oldest daughter turns 20.

My daughter's birth... she's the most precious thing that has ever happened to me, even if the birth was difficult, the results are worth it all!

I recently "celebrated" an anniversary that rips my heart out once a year. I hope to one day bury that celebration, but for now, I still honor it in my own way.

Me too, jm. Today is the 24th anniversary of my stroke. In one way it is a sad day, because a part of me truly did die that day. On the other hand, it was a day I was spared from death and allowed to live, which should be celebrated.

My anniversary for buying the Ranch is comming up in August. I have now owned it for 13 years.

My grandfathers passing. He built this ranchhouse and started out with only 50 horses. June is a month of honouring him by donating my time and a few of the really good horses to the inner city children.
