help me plzz.. while i have hair left

ok here is the deal.... i had the yardsale for the animal shelter this morning(raised a good amount).. turned out they had also promised it to a family for a birthday party.. so i had to get out early. When i got home kids reminded me i promised to carry them skating(10:45am-2pm) .. so u know me.. I am. WELLLL... at 4pm I have a family reunion witha bunch of ppl that dont like me(since they call me a devilworshiper-LOL).. only reason i was going was i felt the kids needed to getto know that side of my family. well the reunion is 2 hrs away... if i go skating i will have no time to cook a dish or 2 and be there in time.....last time i was late.. i heard bullshit about why didnt u just ride in on your broom .....so im thinkng here(yes i see the smoke too)....why do i want my kids around a bunch of ppl that show us no respect and i have to feel bad about my faith and explain a million times why i homeschool to them and that im not in a cult and dont EVEN beleive in the devil.....so what im asking is what would u guys do in this case... would u go or not... kids really dont want to go... but i worry i may be acting out of me being a bit ill :spbx: ...ok im done now

see thats what im thinking as well.... yr before last we went and my son got his feelings hurt really bad... someone kicked a dog while he was there(my son was playng with it)and knowing my son he took up for the dog... they told him how disrespectful he was and that he was just like me....and blah blah blah.. my hub is telling me not to go either.. but he doesnt care for them at all....how convenient e is working today:D

im not going... ill just deal with my sisters talking crap to me for a mth....thank goodness for messageline-LOL....but i am going to head out for skating....i was just buzzed by my son telling me to hurry up.....someone remind me why i got an intercom system in my house:D ....i think i just needed to vent and make sure what i felt was me being hasty..... i knew i could count on u guys:kk :kk .. u all have fun while im busting my bumm on roller skates!!:wa:

I would take the kids skating until about 1230, stop by the store and pick up some bush's baked beans, toss in a little brown sugar, sweet and habanero peppers, and onion microwave the sucker and then go to that family reunion. I wouldn't give a rat's ass what they said about me, I would go just for spite! Of course If they gave me any shit, I would tell them don't fuck with me. Just tell them you don't have to like me or agree with my choices but you will by god respect me or I'll beat the hell out of you with my broom.

well.. i went skating with the kids.. had a blast.. just got home and already had 5 nice messages from my sisters....all reminding me not to be late(im late once and it sticks with me forever)and its not even time for me to be there yet-in about 5 mins ill be loved so much--LOL....but..bought the coolest game while i was out....its virtual snowboarding...my son is hooking it up to the tv right now...so my day is going much better......and again ty guys for listening to me vent earlier...

Glad it turned out great for you Rain! I know it's 20/20 hindsight, but you made the right call.

And if you still get crap over not showing up, just tell them that you were there via a rift in the space-time contiuum, but you couldn't be seen or heard and the dress/outfit the offending person wore was atrocious. Plus, you think they ate too much Cheez-Whiz and crackers. That'll shut 'em up... :D
