Lastnight was my first night back to work after 10 nights of sleeping like a normal person. The night was rough and I really cannot stand my job anymore. Was supposed to go shopping this morning with the hubby to get my son's school supplies because he "wouldn't know what to get" although there are lists at every Walmart in town for your school and grade level. Not to mention the fact that he coul always print a copy from the computer.....he is savvy after all.

So, after being back on my first night and working like a freakin dog for 11 hours, I'm a bit on the cranky side. So, I get home and tell the hubby that we need to leave soon if I am going to go. So, and hour later they are ready. Then my son says he's hungry, naturally. He wanted cereal but I was not going to sit for another 1/2 hour and get even more tired. I ask the hubbs if we can get something out...donuts or such. He says yes and I state that that's good cause we really need to get going now.

"Why don't you just stay here then and I'll do it myself since you're going to have that attitude." What freakin attitude?!?!? Asked what he meant and he told me to stay home. Then, my 11yr old says...." Mom, I have to admit, dad has a point." So I spoke very loudly and said..." I'm cranky because I'm fucking tired! I've been home for over an hour and really do not feel like waiting any longer to walk another two hours to go shopping!" So, they left......told the hubby he needed clothes and shoes. He told me I could get those things in the morning at my work. Told him I needed our son with me to size. " Don't get pissed at me then when you don't like what I get....".....and they drove off.

Happy shopping to you fellas.....I'm going to bed!!:spbx:

Ok, I really do appreciate the sentiments....I do. But, we have one vehicle here and an 11yr old. He works days and I work nights, have done this for years. It just works for us. I hate working nights, but right now, there are not many options. I am contimplating another job in which I am very familiar with the field and will allow me to not only work days, but to also make about 10,000 more a year. But, like anything else, change is scary. I also have to respond to the...."things will get better if you want them to".....comment. Honey, you have no idea what I deal with here on a daily basis. Do I want things to get better? Of course....don't we all? Have I tried? Of course I have. Have they gotten better? Hell no! But, this is not because I do not want them to. As if it is by choice that I live miserably......:sg

My son being home when I get home from work is never an issue. I am mom 100% of the time, which I love. It was the fact that he agreed with my husband about me being too cranky that set me off.
