Oceans 13 was good as was Chuck and Larry...C & L was hilarious.

Also saw Mr Magoriam Magical Emporium (or something like that) at the theater. It was good but not something I typically watch...took the kids.

not nearly as good as the first, about the same as the second. it's certainly worth renting. Puss in Boots is at his best.

Not a movie, but an offshoot of a movie, did anyone see Shrek the Halls on ABC last week. My wife and I loved it! How about that scene where the Gingerbread Man flirts with the Gingerbread Angel. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?". Or Puss in Boots after playing with the fuzzy ball / ornament. "I have shamed myself". IMHO, best half-hour Christmas animation since A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Got the DVD..."Evan Almighty"..which was fun and it's a good family movie. Morgan Freeman was fantastic as always. All in all however the movie was quite enjoyable, the animals were amazing. One of my favorite characters is Rita (Wanda Sykes - she has a sarcastic humor that is awesome).
Overall rating for me is 6 out of 10 commandments!

I am sorta a movie geek, I like to watch movies quite often, I see as many as I can with the exception of horror movies ( have never cared for the dead teenager movies, though I did like Nightmare on Elm street 3, I don't care for what I deem stupid movies, like Jackass, or Hotrod, or the comebacks) I preferr a movie that has some sort of mental stimulation as well as entertainment value
So for me to review a movie is kinda like asking a Pit bull to review a gathering of Felines LOL

Went to see... I Am Legend tonight. Will Smith is such a good actor and his body is amazing. The CGI was used in places to do such things as remove workers from building windows and erase moving traffic in the distance. The ending was very disappointing. The last 20 minutes or so really let the rest of the film down. I understand that there is an alternate ending. Hopefully it will be on the eventual DVD release.

I'd give this movie a 3 out of 5 stars.

I went to go see "Hitman" recently, as I am a fan of the video games. I thought the story was decent and the action was great. I am not a critic, so I enjoy just about any kind of movie. If you are a fan of the Hitman video games, definitely check this one out.

Rented 3:10 To Yuma last Saturday night. Thought this movie was incredibly a old fashioned film, both from a stylistic and a moral point of view. It's full of tough old hombres who'd sooner shoot you dead rather than say good morning. Bale and Crowe play it dead straight, both embittered by life but one following the path of righteousness and the other on his way to hell. So it's all fairly simplistic and bloody..
I have never seen the original 310 To Yuma although I'd like to and I don't know if it was good or not but this remake certainly brings it to a new generation because remake or on it's own it definitely gets it's point across for it's genre. Won't give away the ending to this over 2 hour film, but found it a good twist!

Got to see Cloverfield last weekend. Thought this film was awful.
A big giant lizard rampages destroys a city, a man films all this with a handheld camera, which its batteries can last forever and is dropped every 4 minutes through the film.....an unbreakable camera. Found it slow and boring!!!
Blair witch meets Godzilla. I'd give this movie a 2 out of 5.

Just watched Bella and would highly recommend it.

Rotten Tomatoes says "While BELLA grapples with some pretty heavy themes, it is ultimately a feel-good tale, with a strong emphasis on the importance of family, and on the human potential for change and atonement."

Last movie I saw was the 3 Stooges in their 1964 film Around the World in a Daze, which I rented Friday night to see w/ my kids.

It was kind of a disappointment. The chemestry was never right after Curly left the troupe and I personally feel that in later efforts they watered down their artistic credibility in favor of more lucrative gigs.

I mean yeah, there were eye pokes and all but it just lacked the piss-my-pants-I'm-laughing-so-hard viciousness of the old shorts.

I mean, anyone else remember the nineteen-thirty-something era short where the Stooges were building a house and Moe gets stuck in concrete and instead of helping him, Larry and Curly each grab 2x4's and start beating the crap out of him. (Something they'd never have the balls to do if he weren't incapacated)

...and then Moe frees himself and grabs a sledge hammer and says "I'm gonna murder you guys!" and chases them all over the site swinging that hammer like a maniac?

That was classic! And their later efforts just didn't have that kind of raw emotion. It's sad, really.

(Finally) saw Avatar last night with the kids.

Great movie and the 3D was a lot of fun, but if I had a do-over, the kids would not have come with for two reasons:
1.) The movie was 2 hours and 45 minutes (poor kids were troopers, but that's waaayyy too long for them to have to sit still)
2.) "They said every bad word but the 'S' word in this movie, Daddy!" :(

My favorite is STILL "UP"

Last saw "Valentines Day" on Saturday. I know it got slammed in reviews and I can see that, but it is one of those movies where if you are either falling into or are in love--it will work for you. In that case, bring some kleenex. And, by the way, Ashton Kuchner (sp?) who I am not a fan of---is adorable and hot in this movie

not romantic or sexy, but "The Hurt Locker" has stuck with me and made me think
