I'd heard that some women become attracted to musicians that they would not be interested in otherwise. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to play a couple of songs with a friend’s band at a local bar. I’ve been playing guitar for just over a year now and I had a blast. After I played several women asked me to dance and one bought me a shot. This doesn’t normally happen to me.

Do you think that it has anything to do with the 'women are attracted to musicians' theory or is it more likely just people being nice because they enjoyed the music?

Honestly, yes there is something about a musician that I think most women find attractive. One of the reasons I became attracted to my husband was because he could really play guitar and is a great singer. Being a lover of music, and a singer myself, it was naturally attractive to me. I guess a guy who has talent and isn't afraid to share it, is what makes it appealing to me.
