Interesting...not only were women not included, but I can't say I think it was impartial reporting.
As for the 1% who think intercourse isn't cheating...I think they're more likely to be justifying their own behavior than in open relationships!

cheating is doing something behind someones back. if the spouse knows and doesn't care, how could it be cheating, right? its all about trust.

If you are here, and have sexy chats and/or cybersex ~ would it bother you if you discovered your spouse was doing the same thing? Put aside the fact that they just wouldn't do that sort of thing....would it bother you if you found they did??
I doubt it would bother me...in fact, it might help him to relax some ideas he has and learn to experiment and enjoy more.

I have always felt that unless you're inside the marriage, you can't determine what cheating is. We've had open marriages and couples on the site, and while rare, you can't really argue that it's cheating.
Fever has a point, what I think is cheating, may not be cheating to someone else. I suppose a emotional and or physical relationship with a person of the opposite sex, would be cheating. Especially if they are unaware and would be hurt by it.
And relationship does not have to mean long term. If hubby or I for that matter, have oral sex with someone, even if just once, that is cheating.
I wonder with those who are more lax on their views, what they have been up to?
Going to a strip club or watching porn is not cheating, but if you are sneaking to do it, something is not right.
cheating means diff things to diff people, in various situations. i know here, that what im doing would be considered cheating if my wife knew. i also know we are so far gone that id not care if she did know

I think if you are involved with someone and purposely hiding it from your spouse, then you probably are cheating whether sex is involved or not.

:sc Interesting survey but it does not give all the facts to why the men chose to answer the way they did.....Such as what is happening in their relationship, do they have an open marriage, is the spouse ill, are there other issues going on...and so on. Nor did this survey ask women what they consider cheating...I think it would be very similar with one or two changes....
I've said it before and I'll say it again...ANYTHING IS CHEATING IF....You cant or wont tell your spouse about it. If you know that they will be hurt and upset. It will cause problems in your relationship.
Not every person or couple is the same...and we never know what happens behind closed doors!

You know, we have seen many variations of this question in different threads...and I think the answer is pretty simple. If you think it might be cheating, it probably is. The better question is... why are you cheating? Now that's a tougher question to answer.
