I am having trouble figuring out what i wanna do for a major in college. I told sandy that ever since i was 5 i have wanted to be a gymnast...but my mom had no money cause she was single and had me, and no job. Well sandy said i should find a gym near me and go ask em what it takes. I told her i wanna become a gymnast...or a coach. I at least wanna live my childhood dream. But i cant, i have no money, and the closest gym i guess only teaches lil kids. This is not fair, im sooo into this. But how can you live it, unless you have money, or connections. The only thing i know how to do is a "round about" and i taught myself that years ago. I have balance and love to do the beam if i had a second chance. Anyone have any ideas?

but how? i was outside just goofing off today for hours..tryin to do front flips and other stuff. I was using a shadow from a pole as a balance beam. Talk about desperate.:(

Go to college -- major in physical education -- get a teaching degree. While taking your major, you will be exposed to all the various facets -- focus on gymnastics -- it will work. You get to be a coach! You will love it!!!

I consider that resourceful, not desperate! One of the cheapest and most rewarding methods of getting immersed in something is by volunteering. Why not approach the local gym and inquire about it? You'd be involved in it enough to learn whether or not it's something you want to pursue further, and be contributing to your community as well. Volunteering is so rewarding for countless reasons, but especially when you're considering a career change.but how? i was outside just goofing off today for hours..tryin to do front flips and other stuff.
