Is there a particular forum whereI can post details about myself, with my e-mail address etc, in the hopes of being contacted and making a new friend? I haven't been able to find any threads like that....Thanks!

if you make posts about what you are looking for, others can click your profile and access your contact information. In 150 posts, you can access theirs...

Ok makes sense....Why the e-mail address rule? I broke that one oops :) But as a result I'm corresponding with a new friend...So I guess the key is to keep posting to get to 150, and then things get easier...lol

You may want to read the rules. Also, read, read, and post some. I wouldn't be too forward as to what you have to offer because your goose may be cooked in a sense. :crs

Welcome Tag,

Allowing email addresses sends the wrong message to members - especially vulnerable new members - about the need to guard their private information and identity. We don't want anyone getting the wrong impression about the safety of this environment. The reasons will become clear if you read the bad experiences some have had. Also, as most people here are married, it's in their best interests to remain as discrete as possible. You can't trust anyone here, never mind the people surfing the net! We don't support the sharing of information privately, either. It is a slippery slope once you hand out your email address. People have had to change their telephone numbers once relationships have soured. Indeed, I'm sure if we turned a blind eye to the email addresses, we'd soon have those posted as well!

You're corresponding with a person who saw you'd posted your addy on the forum and emailed you right off the bat? Be very, very careful. That doesn't sound like the behaviour of someone who cares about their own safety, never mind yours!

I understand your points, and thanks for the response. My only thought is, if I don't share my e-mail address, how else do I get to meet people to flirt with? Because to be honest I'd rather flirt on an instant messaging platform than in the forum! Is the key just to wait until I am a Premium Member, so that the contact information is visible?

Yes it is...

If we were to just open it up and allow anyone to start posting that type of information, we would be doing a disservice to our dedicated members, and changing the site's direction.

Patience is a virtue. :)

I'm not looking for sarcastic responses, and condescension (I thought I was in the right forum for these questions.) For those of you that helped, thanks.
