I worked for a printing company who's biggest seller was wedding invitations. I was the one who pasted all the samples of invitations in the sample books. I was in an assembly line and on my feet for 8 solid hours for minimum wage. It really did suck!

I worked for a printing company at 18 as well. Mine had a lot of politics involved. I also had a supervisor that would constantly hit on me. He once said " I would hate to see you lose your job." This was because I rejected his advances. I wasn't there for very long. There was one cool thing I remember, though. We were putting together books for a brewing company..we were one of the first companys to know that a new beer was about to hit the market. I couldn't wait to tell people.

Hmmm...I've never really had horrible jobs. Though, there were aspects to every job that I disliked.
Working as a warehouse manager/truck driver for Escents Aromatherapy (like Body Shop). Sitting in a van full of bath bombs would almost make my eyes water. People who work at gas stations tend to smell like gas, well I smelled like Lavender, Orange, Frankincense (sp?), you name it, all combined into one smell.
I'd also handle the essential oils and boy was I hurting if I spilled some of that on me. Your skin absorbs that stuff and you smell like it for days. Kind of embarrassing for a burly guy to smell like coconut or patchouli or something :(
ps. The benefits were that I worked in a place were I was pretty much the only guy and I always got samples and new products to give to my girlfriends.

Ouch, I used to deliver sanitation supplies and one loading dock for a nursing home was next to the laundry room vent. Ermm....disturbing is all I can say about the smells coming out of that vent.

A car wash in a red light district for avis car rentals. I would start at 5 in the morning kicking the whores of the front steps who were hiding from the cold. By 5.15 I would be offered heroine 5 different times, and they kind of use to say buy it or else. Then I would go around the back and start hosing all the homeless drunken bums who slept there who called it home for the night. Damn they would puke up some serious crap over night...and have you ever had to wake up a man after he has consumed a bottle of metholated spirits and fanta.. sometimes you have to go buy them some bread so they will stop cramping up and screaming at the top of their lungs. Thank goodness for high powered hoses...no one fucks with you then...
I got sacked after 4 months...said I had the wrong attitude. My boss was a 15 year heroine junky. He would refill the cars with fuel with a smoke hanging out his mouth all day. Some times he would sit at this discusting desk on a bar stool. Then we would hear thump. The idiot nodded off on the chair and fell off again.
I won't be forgetting that job

I had to make headliners for cars. Working with treated fiberglass, you had to wear gloves because they cooked at 425 degrees. Hot off the presses. Drank a gallon and a half of water every night, Never pissed...sweated it out. The fiberglass was in the air, too. It penetrated everything and you couldn't scratch or it would go into you skin. Had to learn to not scratch my face and eyes for 8 hours. My arms would itch so bad when I would go home and to bed that I would wake scratching them to the point of bleeding. It was torture, but the best paying job in the place...who'd want it?

Evening phone solicator. Hated it with a passion.
I loved Escents products when I lived in Vancouver, but could barely tolerate walking into the place. I'd start sneezing and my eyes would start watering instantly. And then, of course, the smell would permeate my clothes, hair and skin and I would smell like some weird combination of their oils for hours.
I never thought about what it would be like for the warehouse staff!:D Hmmm...I've never really had horrible jobs. Though, there were aspects to every job that I disliked.

I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none, so I've had some pretty unusual jobs in my time. One of the worst ones would be when I did a stint baking bagels. I'd ride my bike to the bakery at 3am, then spend the next four hours walking from the walk-in freezer to in front of the oven. I had a permanent head cold from the extreme temperature changes. I also had burns all over my hands and forearms because the bagels had to boiled for a few minutes before going in the oven, and the boiling water would always splash on me, despite my endless attempts to find a way to drop them in without creating a splash. That was mind-numbing work, and physically gruelling. The buckets of frozen bagels weighed a ton, and I always had to bring out four at a time to stay on schedule.

I worked in a asian sweatshop on a production line for pirate star trek videos...
I think I got 260 bucks a week for that. They use to have to rotate the women who used the shrink wrapping machine every two hours.[the machine that wraps the final product in tight plastic]. The fumes would make then so sick they struggled doing triple shifts

Ok..this was my worst job. I worked at a service station on the night shift. Most nights were quiet. Through the coarse of the five years I was there, though, I was robbed at gun point, stalked, almost sexually assaulted, hit on every day, and told by one customer that he would change my mind and I would sleep with him. This was also an every day occurrence. I finally quit shortly after being robbed..that was about my limit.

The worst job I ever had was working in the Sewers mending the pipes and dealing with Rats and crap all day long, what you would call " A shitty Job" Boom Boom.
Then you were not charging enough guy.... "SHITTY jobs" are my bread and butter.
Just cleaning sewers and drains in less then 5 months I was able to buy my first Mercedes 560 SEL back in 1987
The worst I had was doing farm work at slave labor rates cleaning cow manure and working 7 day days a week as the cows had to be milked and infections on their backs squeezed open and cleaned.
Farmers are differently not compensated enough for their hard work and and every season is a risk of losing everything depending on the weather and crops failures and diseases facing the live stock .
These folks have it really tough working for way below the poverty wage. Fisherman is another really hard job to make a decent living..
By the way, the first "plumbers" were women and look how long the sewer systems of Rome have lasted
It all boils down on what you make of the job your doing.
Today relinning sewers is a billion dollar a year industry as someone has to stop water infiltration from over loading the water treatment plants.
See the guy on "DIRTY Jobs" There is a hell of a lot of money in shitty jobs

Worked for a company as an expediter ... which means I would call people up and hassle them to make sure they send their orders on time. That wasn't for me, lasted less than a week. I don't like hassling people, so I wouldn't make a good bill collector, or repo man, or anything where I'd have to hassle people ...

My stepdad had gotten laid off from his job and had a good sized dump truck. He bought a rubbish removal route from a guy. My stepbrother and I took care of it on the weekends. The stink was bad enough but when it is warm out and garbage has been in a trash can for a little while, you wouldn't believe the amount of maggots you can find.

I worked as a waitress in this little place. You would come up to the counter and place your order and I had to remember who you were to deliver it. No numbers or nothing to help, was hell when the place got busy. Only was making about $1.85 an hour. Idaho doesn't make restrauntants pay minimum wage, so they don't even come close.

I worked at Wendy's for a little while once. I hated it because I always came home smelling like greasy french fries. I usually worked the cash register, because most of the teenagers that worked there couldn't count money. Either that or they were stealing it, because their registers would always come up short. I also hated dealing with rude customers. Some people think they can abuse you verbally however they want to. Mistakes will happen, especially when you're trying to make FAST food. I always wished that I could make those people work at a fast food restaurant for just 1 month, then see if they would be more understanding afterwards.

It was HELL. I got peed on, kicked, punched in the nose by kids and Santa was a pervert and stared very creepily at my Elf Costume! When it was time to close parents would scream in my face that I ruined thier kids Christmas because they showed up a half an hour after we closed. And to top it off they had a rule that you had to keep taking pictures until they liked it. It's difficult to get a good picture when kids are crying non stop!

If we didn't wrap it to suit them they would make us rewrap it and we had to apoligize to the customer there in the store. Most of the customers didn't understand why we had to rewrap the gift.
I was in there this past XMas, and I saw the wrappers, but I passed on having my gifts wrapped..........
