I have a number of cats. 4 are in their teens, and 5 that are 3 and less. It seems when one cat dies, another kitten comes into my life.
I also have a dog that is 7 (mixed up breed).
Most of my life involved moving and a lot of time away, so it was easier to have cats.

Marycat, I have a lhasa also. A chinese black and white. He has black eyes like a panda, and his name is Max!
Also have a mixed breed, cockerspanial type, all black and we call him Scruffy. If we get our new house (fingers crossed) I want to get an English bulldog also.

I am partial to dogs. My favorite breed is the doberman. Had 3 growing up and they were loyal and obediant. Wife thinks they are too vicious with kids in the neighborhood so we settled for a yellow lab. Our family had them trained very well and I could see her point. On a single command they would attack. But I also saw the playful side and learned to respect their nature.

Yeah they are.... They're a little stockier than the Doby's. He's been a great dog. Loves the forest. Have to watch him when we go camping. He's not afraid of anything and will chase coyotes. They will sometimes send a bitch in to lure a domestic dog to a place where the pack will attack them.

Golden Retrievers - very smart, very loving animals. Although you have to be careful that you are getting a good one. With so many puppy mills and disreputable breeders out there it is easy to get one with a whole host of problems

But now we have a 4 year old Golden Retriever and I think I would have one of each from now on.
As for the Blue Heeler if they are the same as the ones I know they are an Australian breed that is bred as a cattle dog. So are the Kelpie, but the Heeler is much more fistier and a great watch dog. They also have red heelers. Both are short stocky and never take a backward step, but one of the most faithful dogs there is. Almost everyone in Australia is called blue lol

Shakes head, yes I love animals maybe that would explain my back yard. Lets see my poochie is a 2 yr old dark golden Lab named Bodee. When I get ready to go fishing he and I take off in the boat and leave everyone else in bed. Oh my gosh does he love the water. A 6 yr old Boston Terrier named Molly who snores worst than any human. Two 12 inch Beagle pups about 5 months old, Copper and Booger Man, already went on their first rabbit hunt. Cutest lil buggers, both are black, white, and red saddle backs. Two 5 month old Beagle and Walker mix, pups both are red and white with amber eyes. Cute lil shits, still goofy and very clumsy though. They are both supposed to be hunting dogs someday too. One hermit crab named Crush. One Tom cat named Jordan who loves to bring field rats to my front door ewwww. A bunch of horses, 3 geldings, 4 mares, 1 filly , 1 stud horse, 1 black shetland, and 1 jack ass. With 3 little girls who bring everything home as pets we always seem to have alot of critters.

I love my Dog . She is a Border Collie , sometimes smarter than my kids !! Her name is Missymae . My hubby was riding down the Highway and a few cars ahead of him , he see's a puppy flying threw the air ,someone just tossed her out the window . So, he stopped and brought her to a vet and we have had her every since. She has a extra toe on back paw, and the Vet said ,because she wasn't worthy to sell , they got rid of her!!She is 8 now .

Awwww thats so sad. I have a friend who raises labs, if they have even a tiny scratch or if they are missing a small patch of hair, a broker won't buy them. Which is so wrong when you think about it, such a small imperfection makes the puppy unwanted by the general public. I guess that when people are buying a pet they want a perfect one. I don't know of anything that is perfect, humans included. When she has these unwanted dogs she doesn't toss them out on the highway though. Either she sells for less than half price to people who don't care about a small imperfection that will go away, or she gives them to a foundation that raises them and trains them for the blind or physically handicapped, some have even been used for cadavar dogs, and drug dogs. Unfortunately anyone can raise dogs to sell, it's just sad that they are in it for the money and not for their love of animals.

What have you got? Oh gosh, Ryan and I share Chihuahuas, Shyanne(2 years and 1 month), Teddy ( 2 in Nov), Kali (2 months), and Cloe (2 months). Cockatiel Zari, and a male Betta.
What are its hobbies?
Well Teddy is a faster runner than Shyanne, so when they are outside Teddy will grab his toy and run the yard, and Shyanne will "try" to catch him, Teddy will slow down for Shyanne sometimes, and she grabs his tail to make him stop, thats the only way to get Teddy down. Kali and Cloe are Teddy and Shyannes babies and they run outside w/there other sister whom belongs to my mom. Kali is the fastest runner so she will run w/Teddy or just run period. Cloe is a loner but a lil priss, she was the last born and just wants to keep to herself. We painted there nails hot pink and Cloe I think was make to be a prim dog, she looks soooo cute w/her nails painted. My moms dog likes me too much and follows me where I go, but for the most part she prances, just like Shyanne. Oh yeah if ya mention "kodie" to Teddy he will go CRAZY, yesterday I was pickin on him and I was like, "do u wanna go see your kodie?" Maaan I thought that dog was gonna have a heart attack. He was jumpin up and down whining, it was sooo funny.
What does it do in its freetime [so to speak]?
Sleep, or try to eat from Shyanne

We have a cat named Coco that we inherited from my mother in law when she moved to an apartment. He's a big chocolate point siamese. He's very handsome, but dumb as a post. My son loves him though; they're great friends.
We haven't had a dog for years and are thinking about maybe getting one in the spring. I love walking dogs! I did it for years as a volunteer at the SPCA, and look forward to walking my own again. Besides, there's something about having a little boy and his dog grow up together. I think he would love that.
I'll keep you posted.

My Zoo
Bodee a 2yr old golden lab about 100lbs. He is my best buddy, he follows me around everywhere I go even to the bathroom. If im sitting he is laying on the floor beside me. He prefers to sleep on the rug by my bed, sleeping is his favorite thing to do besides see what snacks he can find. Whether it be the cake I just made and left to cool on the counter, lol I got accused of eating the whole thing in under 60 seconds. He loves ginger snaps, he will sit with his ears perked anticipating the toss he lunges to catch it. He loves to play catch, fetch, and tackle the kids. They throw a ball and he grabs it and then its his game, he runs around while they chase him. He lets them in very close and like a bolt of lightening hes running, or he will drop it and walk a few feet away and waits for one of the girls to try and get it first, of course he always wins. If they have the ball and run with it, he's like a NFL linebacker he chases them and with his front feet he plow drives them to the ground. He loves the water, in the summer time he plays in the sprinkler, picks it up drags it around or just lays on top of it. Taking him to the lake is a blast, he is huge and very intimidating, lots of people are afraid of him. The only he would do is beat them to death with his enomous wagging tail. He and I are fishing buddies, we get up early and hit the lake in the boat leaving the rest of the family in bed. He loves the boat, he also loves to jump off it with no way in hell to get back on so like a good mom I mosey over to the bank and after he's had a nice long swim we're off again. He is a huge begger omg, if I have anything potatoe chips whatever he sits and puts his head on my leg, looks up at me with these big old sad eyes that say please mom. Or he sits and starts to drool omg he gets these huge long dog slobbers hanging from both sides of his mouth. They don't fall, the just hang there lol grosses my kids out if they get slobbers on em. He is so much a part of the family lol I refer to him as my son and the girls call him their brother, lol I know he's just a dog but he's my dog!
Other pets lol I'll make this short.
Boston Terrier named Molly who sleeps, snores and farts. (worse than any man on the face of the earth!)
Beagle named Copper, sweet lil fella with sad eyes who howls and loves to hunt rabbits.
Beagle named Booger, an awnery lil shit who howls and hunts too.
Ed half beagle & half walker hunting dog too
Rocky half beagle & half walker hunting dog too, Ed's twin brother.
lol ohhh apparently theres another dog, a beagle, i have no idea what her name is, where she came from or when she got here.
Crush the only hermit crab out three left, I don't know what he does except escape and show up in my kitchen a week later.
Tom Cat named Kit who meows and smells.
and horses..... Andre', Yeller, Bay, Two Socks, Snuffy, Bo, Dandy, Chica, Blackie (the shitland) lol. Jackie the Jackass.
And if this isn't enough my kids want to bring home every dog, cat, snake, lizard, frog, horse, rabbit, chicken, duck they see.

I have a Shetland Sheepdog named Jif.
He is now 15 and a half and pretty much sleeps all day.
He was one of those goofy dogs who ran around in circles like he was rounding up the sheep or something.
He also used to pee while walking on his front 2 paws only.

Yes bonnie loves to play more so in the evening, playful yelps, bites my hand, and if I lay on the floor with her, her old rudder goes, then she starts to lick me, she lays with me, and if I cuddle chris comes between us, and barks, shes an old jealous belly but adorable.Oh she sleeps with me, and as soon as the light goes out, shes away, snore. We havent any other animals at all.

I currently have 1 dog, a 4 year old Black Lab named Buddy. His hobbies are playing fetch, going for short jogs around the town with me, going fishing and camping with us, & chasing rabbits or any other animal that visits the backyard. He craves attention 24/7 and will bug the hell out of you until you give it to him! He's one spoiled rotten dog, but he's such a wonderful part of our family. My girls adore him and he loves them even more. :)

Just thought I would post a pic of my horses.
Pudding is a 6 year old Appaloosa mare - sweet as apple pie and mean as a junkyard dog (typical female). She stands about 15 hands high, very stable footed, excellent for working cattle, or riding in the mountains. She has a light side to her personality, but when it comes to riding, she is all business. She liked to clown around in the corral or paddock - her favorite thing is to push you from behind (which, if you haven't cleaned up the corral, is a lot funnier to her than it is to you).
Blaze is a Rocky Mountain Horse - that's actually a breed. He is a 3 year old gelding, and is stockier than Pudding. The best thing I can say about him is that he is an absolute goof! You never know what he is going to do, or when he is going to do it. Only my grandson and I ride him - if you aren't alert, he will take off a on a flight of fantasy, and you'll be left sitting on the ground watching him. But, for pure running, I have never seen a horse who can keep going like him. He loves to chase antelope, though I have no idea what he would do if we ever caught one.

We have a 3 year old Golden Retriever called Bonnie, soft and no ounce of anger in her at all, a beautiful animal and we love her to bits, she a character in her own right although I had to recently pay out over £91 to have her treated she caught her dew claw now she walks around with a bandage on to protect it for a bit, but never the less Id spend more on her shes worth every penny. No Bonnies life expectancy is 20 years, so we will all grow older together and no more animals, it hurts so when you have to put them to sleep.

About a month ago this gray and white stray tom cats comes to my house, and of course yippee he has a new home. Since that time we have had a few more, like 5 tom cats, and 2 females. Yesterday morning we found two 4-5 week old kittens in the garage, hissing, scratching and biting, so they too have been adopted and have a new home.
Yesterday aroundnoon we found 2 newly born babies dead in the yard. Late yesterday afternoon my oldest daughter found one more, alive. The lil sucker isn't big as nothin. So of course I must be the biggest sucker around, my kids talk me into giving this lil fella a chance. I thought no way, his mother had for some reason abandoned her babies. So I bring it in the house, get an eye dropper and give it some milk. I had already prepared my kids for the worst, no way would this kitten survive. It was weak, cold and hungry, and just born, hadn't had anything to eat all day. Well it's still alive, it woke me up about every two hours looking for something to eat. Still not sure it will survive but if it does, I think it's name will be "Lucky."

We had never owned a dog before. I had always been a cat person but I do get it that kids and dogs kind of go together... especially boys and dogs. My son has ADHD and some things like dicipline, responsibilty, scheduling, and just paying attention are very difficult to teach him. Then we got him the dog! I can't get over it, if it's for the dog I have finally found something I need only ask one time for and he does it! He has finally found someone to listen to him as well... he says "come!" she runs to him! It's very empowering... he says "sit!"... she sits... he says "stay!" she does that too! It's wonderful because he loves her and Spot is now one his greatest sources for praise. Animals can teach kids so many lessons that as adults we would never even think of.

It cost's us about $125 to get a dog of around 20 lbs neutered/spayed. They do have to stay overnight, they get a bath, nails trimmed and taken care of very well.
We neutered our sons dog while son and new wife went on their honeymoon last year. He came to visit grandma a real man and went home without balls. Poor baby. He is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. Fun little dog.

What about the bloody pussys!
wow 18,19 years old.. thats excellent and a long time... I live in Thailand and have 4 vets near my house. They often study overseas and can return here and charge around 5dollars a visit plus drugs. They can de-sex your dog and give him back in an hour.. I don't get why vets are so expensive in western countries..
Hey Cotties....do they really eat dogs over there?

Spot's first check up was about $245.00 and that included all her shots, it was about the same for her spay, but it was $60.00 more because we chose to have it the less invasive way using lasers. That also included her pain meds which she really only needed for about a day and a half... after that she was all over the place!

The logical answer would be something he is eating is not agreeing with him....the other answer could be you have pissed him off and he is getting you back.....I'm guessing this because of the kiss my ass position he sleeps in...
Dogs have sensitive stomachs...they dont adjust well to a change in diet..or too many treats...
