I'm a outdoors type of person, if there is anything to do outdoors I'm in.

Here is my lowdown on everything

Fishing, Boating, Golfing, Working Out, Reading, Dancing, Singing(shatter glass on how bad I am), Gambling, Traveling, Drinking, Repairing Cars, Watching Sports.

that is pretty much it. Normally dont have much time come in the winter though. Normally it is work and school. Only one more year left of school before I get my MD thank god.

To play: Women's beach volleyball (wishful thinking), Softball, old men's "no check" hockey, volleyball, running, swimming and two-hand touch football games. While not viewed as a typical sport, I LOVE fishing!

I'm a huge sports junkie my favs include Football(american), Golf, Basketball, Hockey even tho my wings aren't doing a damn thing in FA, and Nascar. Baseball is ok to went to the All-Star game this year was pretty fun.

Yeah... always been into sports... both organized and individual. Played basketball, football and was in track in high school. Went to college on a track scholorship (hurdles). Kept playing competitive city league basketball and softball until I was in my 40's. Spent about 8 years coaching small fry football, little league baseball and then the summer league for a high school basketball team. My sons were involved in organized sports as well. They played football, basketball and baseball when they were young and the oldest was a high school wrestler, the middle one was a basketball player and ran the hurdles, and the youngest one was all-state in basketball, football and track. He went on to start at wide receiver all 4 years in college. (That's about all Lady p and I did during those years... work and go to the boys' sporting events).

I've also always hunted and fished and camped and hiked here in our beautiful and magestic mountains. Now I'm down to hunting and fishing and playing fantasy football on the internet..... :sg

I like most sports, as far as watching, my favorites would be soccer (sorry dave, I'm from America) football (sorry again), motorcycle racing, F1 racing, especially this year since Schumacher is not running away with it (and no, I don't dislike him, just nice to someone else win for a change), occasionaly NASCAR, and the last few years, I have really enjoyed watching Australian Rules Football (thank's DirecTV). I have kind of lost interest in baseball and basketball due to the atttitudes of the athletes, but I will sometimes watch a few games.

As far as playing, my main interest now is bicycling, mainly mountain, but I also do some road riding. I used to play a lot of softball and basketball and soccer, but as my friends who used to play get older (glad I haven't) seems like it's too hard to get everone together anymore, guess that's shy I am into biking, it's nice to go with a group, but it is something you can do on your own and still have fun.

My daughters played them throughout their school years and we would go to every game or event. And I actually enjoyed watching them, but I don't ever watch professional sports on television.

For the most part, I get my professional and college sport fixes by watching Sports Center or going to an occasional game. But once pro football season comes, I watch EVERY Minnesota Vikings game. That's understood in my household. I don't spend hours away on the golf course and I don't sit in front of the T.V. all day - even during football season. But I take about 3 hours every time the Vikings play..

I know what you mean Hank. When I was a young teenager I worked summers on my grandfather's ranch. It was located in the foothills of the 'Crazy Mountains.' Wouldn't see or talk to anyone for weeks sometimes, except for my grandparents. There were 2 creeks on the ranch and I used to go out in the evenings after cutting and stacking hay, fencing, or plowing the grain fields and fish. I loved it. Very quiet. Just me and the birds and animals and the bubbling creek.

Caught fish every time I went too. Wish I could say that now.

Fantasy boxing is where you create this guy with 70 skill points and you add them and there is a sim program that determains games.

I'm kind of in Simulation Hockey on here where you have a team and your the GM, and you make the moves. Fantasy Football is fun but you dont have total control over your team.

Nope. No talent. I'm just damn tenacious. LOL! I love music. I've always been involved with music in one way or another. Trumpet from the age of 10-17, then learned guitar and played, had my own band etc., 'til I was 28, and then at the age of 34, started taking piano lessons, which I've wanted all my life. I just took a circuituous route to get there! If you've been taking lessons for all this time, you must be fabulous! I'm only just now getting a bit of fluidity... It's like sweating drops of blood for every inch of progress, but that's the way it is, I guess. :)

Sports have always been a part of my life. Played football and hockey growing up and into my adulthood. Then when my sons started playing sports I hung up my spikes and skates to coach and teach them. I have coached them in hockey, football, soccer and baseball. The oldest is a senior in HS and had a marvelous season setting many school records and being voted All Catholic in his league at quaterback. All three are exceptional bseball players and have many individual accomplishments to show for their efforts.
Sports are a great way to be involved with my kids and we do spend quality time together both on and off the field.
As far as watching sports, don't do it as much anymore. The pros are a bunch of spoiled babies. If I do watch I would prefer to watch the college ranks or even the younger kids where they play for the true love of the game rather than the money.

Sports has always been a part of what I do -- I played in high school (baseball, basketball, and football), college (baseball), and while in the military. I was a member of the USAF baseball team from 1976 - 79, and have played slow pitch softball ever since.

In between, i coached Little League baseball. In fact, just finished my 24th year in Little League. I am convinced that it was sports that kept me out of jail, and my boys off drugs and out of trouble. I think learning to compete, learning to lose, and yes, learning to win are some of the most important lessons our kids can use in today's world.

Sports has always been a part of what I do -- I played in high school (baseball, basketball, and football), college (baseball), and while in the military. I was a member of the USAF baseball team from 1976 - 79, and have played slow pitch softball ever since.

In between, i coached Little League baseball. In fact, just finished my 24th year in Little League. I am convinced that it was sports that kept me out of jail, and my boys off drugs and out of trouble. I think learning to compete, learning to lose, and yes, learning to win are some of the most important lessons our kids can use in today's world.

Spare........the part about keeping the kids out of trouble is soooo true........I was big jock in high school, Navy, and then college........but my kids put me to shame.......They all had division 1 scholarships in football (son) and volleybabll and basketball for 2 girls! But they didnt have time to get in trouble!

Absolutely!! Not only does it keep them busy, but it pre-determines the type of people they hang around with. But, it doesn't need to be sports that is the anti-drug. Anything that fills their time - whether it be sports or academics or church - AND gives them a social life will do the trick.

Well, this truly is a predicament. Now you and I are both from athletic backgrounds. I would never want my player to turn it down a notch so I would have to motivate the players around him to turn it UP a notch. How would we handle a player who needed to up his level of play? What motivates a player? That is different for each individual. Let's think about it from that angle and maybe we can come up with a solution. Just thinking out loud here and trying to brainstorm.....:)
