Who would have thought that Adultery was still a felony?

Adultery is a felony in every state... So is spitting on the sidewalk... There are many laws that remains on the books because it takes to much money to ratify them... I have seen some that was on probation for Adultery

I don't think spitting on the sidewalk is a felony ... a misdemeanor yes, a felony no. What I thougtht was interesting about the article was how sexist the law was.
If you are the one doing the penetrating, then you're the one who is going to be charged with felonly sexual abuse.
So, let's see ... what do women have that they could possible penetrate with? And what do men have that could possibly be penetrated? In that case, I think it falls under the sodomy laws, so you're still screwed.

The law was designed to make it tougher on the rapists BUT they also found out that adultry was covered under this new law

I haven't read the law nore the casework behind it, but I doubt anybody is prosecuted anymore. Discovery leads to divorce, most likely, and the wife has grounds, so why seek state prosecution?
Seriously, has anybody every "hooked up" on this site for a fun romp? Sure hasn't happened for me. I'm open to a discrete encounter with the right lady - and she needn't be a magazine model type. Just an eager lover.

In my state, Adultery isn't even considered grounds for divorce

In most states anal sex is against the law and punishable by jail time.
In Illinois...well in Champaign, it is against the law to pee in your neighbor's mouth.
Which is funny, because you know that people have done it for there to be a law.
http://www.dumblaws.com/ Check out this website for your states dumb laws. Illinois laws are classic. I know the Carbondale one well, I almost got arrested for it.
