Well personally I think that is the best way to do it, one goal at a time, forget about listing 20 just keep going one step at a time.

I've been humbled by the Glory, and the power of love
When I've stumbled and I've fallen, he's been there to pick me up
In the face of all temptation, been the strength to stand my ground
Wrapped in His sweet salvation, I know I'm Glory-bound
I'm a man, I'm not an angel
Oh, I've got no wings to fly
But I'll make it up to Heaven
One step at a time

I think quit Smoking (I know its the same thing every year) but I have to give it a shot again..... Turns out I am not a quitter.
I plan to get in better physical condition...loose a few pounds & exercise more, stop coloring my hair, save more more money.
I plan to live another year, get laid every chance I can, make it to the gym 5 days a week, eat good food and drink nice wine, and stay out of jail. Try to obey the golden rule

make some mad passionate love.......all year long!!!!!!!
I have to confess, I don't make New Year's resolutions. People put alot of pressure on themselves to fulfill some long and unrealistic list, then get discouraged if they don't accomplish each thing. I tend to make smaller goals more often -baby steps- that I can achieve sooner. I'm then motivated to set the bar a little higher each time. But that's just me. Others may need different methods of motivation.

Its really easy I used to smoke 40 a day then I went to the doctors with broncitis, he said if I did't stop smoking Id be dead in a years time, that was 5 years ago and I havent smoked since, so do you want to die early? No! then stop smoking.

I agree with you entirely;)
The only thing that really stops me from picking up another cigarette is the memory of quitting. I never want to go through that again.
I'm kind of an all or nothing person; never like to do things half-heartedly, so it was either smoke like a chimney, or nothing at all. I quit cold turkey 11 years ago after smoking a pack and a half a day. No sense cutting off the dog's tail a bit at a time. Just get it over with.
So when I'm having a really good coffee, or a nice cold beer and think "Wouldn't a cigeratte go well with this?", I think about quitting again and change my mind.
Do it for your loved ones, for your health, for your bank account, whatever motivates you. But do it when you're ready.

I quit and havent had withdrawal symptoms, people still smoke around me, and I roll a cigerette for my wife and I have never been tempted to smoke again the doctor frightened me of dying and I used to smoke approx 60 a day with roll ups.

Hey Dave.....your wife's recent health problems give you an opportunity to discuss with her the lack of intimacy you are experiencing.
It took a health scare for Hank and I to jump back in the sack....more frequently now and with more experimentation and fun than we ever had in the past.
Health problems seem to knock some sense into most of us if we just listen....reminding us that we don't have time to waste...get on with whats important....show those we love just how much we love, desire and appreciate them. Sex is a great healer for what ails you..emotional and physical satisfaction are great for stress relief, depression, etc....
Tell her she has to jump back in the saddle before its too late for either of you.
I speak from personal experience :knuddel:

Thanks for the well wishes Joe! Congratulations on 10 years! I tried a hypnotherapist once too and it worked for about 10 minutes. I also used accupuncture, that worked for about 6 months and stupid me never went back for another treatment. I used Zyban once before and that worked very well but I stopped taking it too soon. I used the patch too and ended up smoking while wearing it... quite a high! (but don't try that at home!) This time if the Zyban doesn't work as well as did before I'm thinking of combining it with accupuncture and stay on it as long as I can.

I walked into my office today to find a voice mail message... and when I got through playing phone tag with the individual, I found out I have been selected to play major roles in three short films over the next couple of months. And realized one of my biggest dreams. Which made me wonder if any of you would like to share life's dreams and goals achieved as well....

I will be teaching a step class at 6pm, but I will definitely mention you to my class members and we'll all hoot and holler for you!!
As far as my dreams, I've accomplished a few of them. The biggest ones being, I wanted to be a model and a singer, and I have done both.
I wanted to have at least four children. Coming from a big family, I always wanted the same thing. But sometimes you just have to play the hand your dealt, or find another way. I was only able to have one child, but he's the cream of the crop!! LOL! I have lots of family and friends who consider our home their second home, which I enjoy so much. So, I have the happy and full house that I always wanted.
I thought by now I would have seen the Louvre, but haven't been to France yet. That has been a dream since I was just a little girl and saw my first Renoir painting. I have always painted and sketched, and my degree is in Fine Art, so to visit the Louvre would be the ultimate for me. I'd like to spend at least a week wandering through it, taking the time to just sit and stare at some the paintings I have admired all my life.

I realized 2 of my dreams....to marry a loving man and have kids. I always wanted to be a mom. My work is fulfilling, I know that I am good at what I do - but the ultimate for me is being a good mom.
My dad was in the air force in WWII, and I always wanted to fly planes like him, so I joined the air cadets as soon as I was old enough, and worked my ass off until I did just that! It was the best feeling in the world! Not just to be flying, but to follow in my dad's footsteps!

Every year, we just hang out at home, maybe order chinese take out or make a pizza, hoping to watch the ball drop. 9 times out of 10, we end up falling asleep before midnight and the only ball that drops is my own, after I realize I didn't bring in the new year with a bang.

I plan on having more sex, whether alone or with someone, but damn it, I plan on it. Really now, I am going to have a serious talk with my wife on this and tell re-iterate to her what my expectations are for her and for myself. If she doesn't want to agree to them, then I plan to ask her if she would accept me trying to get some another way so I don't bother her so much about it and we can still have what I feel is a great relationship, sex withstanding.

I was just wondering if anyone here has any good New Year's resolutions. I know that we are into the new year alreday, but I'm kind of intellecually bankrupt right now, so I'd like to rip off someone else's resolutions.
Any one want to offer up any suggestions?

He must have been respectful to your privacy I believe.Beside thre was a age gap between. You'd better find a new and younger one.

Ok I don't make New Years resolutions because I don't like to set myself up for failure...but a friend sent me this and I thought the sentiment was lovely...
Remember for 2007...life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile :D

Jealousy is an indicator of low slef esteem which will be a trouble for you all through your life hun.I believe it is good for you..But you will suffer because you are aatched to him..It will fade away..

Well, I am not sure if it's interesting, but it may be the opposite of what most people want.
I hope to gain 20 pounds of muscle this year. I'd love to top out at 220 by the end of the year. I was on my way last year, starting at 185 and getting up to 200, but then I got knocked out by strep throat and a nasty flu around the end of the year, knocking me back down to 195 with a loss of muscle mass.
2 pounds a month isn't much to ask, is it? Sorry, I should say 2 "good" pounds a month.
I love challenges of any variety, and will meet anything that is thrown at me head on - contantly moving the goal posts.
Every year I set myself challenges, as I do believe that happiness is tied to a goal (yes a Quote!) so... apart from the normal family orientated ones, what challenges/goals have you set yourself? (this year or long-term)
2007:
1) Having my own business; I now intend to expand it by widening my clientele base and have approached various interested companies.
2) I have entered the London Triathlon
