Here are a few of my favs:
A simple apertief that frankly takes some time and sophistication to acquire a taste for:
Campari & soda with a wedge of Orange
(Your date won' steal this one from you when you excuse yourself to the men's room unless she is Italian)
--
In and Outer (a local tradition, an ultra dry martini)
Pour dry vermouth over ice in a rocks glass to flavor the ice, then pour out liquid over strainer (keeping vermouth flavored ice) and discard
Fill rocks glass with premium vodka
Top off with large anchovy stuffed olives
AWESOME - a REAL drink
Plain and Simple Straight Up Scotch
A premium quality single malted Scotch like OBAN™ 1984, 20 YEAR OLD scotch whisky over purified water ice cubes
Pain Killer
2 oz Pusser's® dark rum
1 oz cream of coconut
4 oz pineapple juice
1 oz orange juice
But best overall easy to make refreshing tropical drink is very simple:
pineapple & orange juice to 3/4 full in rocks glass
1-2 OZ of Malabu or Parrot Bay Coconut Flavored Rum
Cheers,

This drink has benefits just like the "proverbial oysters". And real women know only a real man could drink it. :D (I must have been a blue collar great-industrial north steel worker in another lifetime)
Seriously, ordering this drink at the bar has been a terrific conversation starter. This one alone has resulted in at least introductions and various fun for me over the last 10 years.
When single women (or adventurous married women) at the bar hear me call for an "in and outer" they can't help but instantly tune in and become curious about it. Then the often ask what's in it and that's a great conversation starter. They usually initially say "ick no-way, not for me thanks". But when they eventually get around to making the slow mental connection that you are going down on anchovies they know you are an adventurous man who is up to doing most anything. That usually results in a rebound conversation within 10-15 minutes if you just give the mojo time to work and act too sophisticated to care what they think. :D ;)
It's not exactly the most easy drink for a man to get comfortable with. But like oral sex, once one gets past some of the initial objections and barriers to entry its addicting and quite enjoyable. It's not meant for everyone but then again neither are all those available and adventurous women meant for the feint of heart and rum and coke wannabes.
Try one and see if you don't improve your extracurricular love life. :D

Hmm, you sound like a woman with a refined and classic taste.
Unfortunately I had a rather bad episode with gin at an early age before I knew that drinking was more a precursor for social interaction and relaxation than it was for getting one polluted and an excuse to do silly things. Ever since I can't go near Gin no matter the pedigree. But I can certainly appreciate a lady who knows her drinks. Cheers, I am confident that Count Camillo Negroni (or Pascal Olivier de Negroni de Cardi {disputed} ) would be proud to see the class of his following.

Haha thanks TI. I think you are pretty cool too. Good luck on getting radar lock on me. I have advanced stealth technology with enhanced and advanced shield parameters. Its part of my current idiom to engage random phase shifting patterns to avoid being pinned down or characterized by any borg attempts to get me to assimilate. I am a maverick to a fault (but quite harmless). But some of these lady flirts are so accomplished I may have met my match finally. I could quite possibly end up dropping shields long enough and making myself vulnerable to getting tripped up inside this place...

Cool Joe. The only occupational issue to be concerned with about that drink is to gargle with mouthwash after you eat the anchovy stuffed olives before kissing. Some don't mind it one bit (the bi ladies) but statistically the odds are most women don't. :D

The best drink I like to sip passionately is what I call the Pink Ladyslipper. Just take two servings of your lady friend's favorite cocktail, have her pour them over her luscious tongue and lips while you lavish her with an hour of sensuous full body kisses, then add one ounce of your own hot saliva to the waiting cradle of her steaming love juices, apply your limber tongue, then stir and stop vigorously.

Champagne

Kamikaze -- my special way. One shot 100-proof Vodka (80 proof don't cut it!), One shot triplesec Orange liquor, a twist of fresh lime (no lime juice or sprite or anything like that :/ ) and serve in a freezer chilled glass. Don't have any? Strain over ice -- but not too long or the water will dilute it. So smoooth going down, but hoo-boy! when it hits yer stomach!

what is a scorpion bowl?
It is a polynesian drink made in a 32 ounce bowl that consists of white rum, gin, brandy, orgeat syrup (almond flavored syrup) and fruit juice (usually orange and some lemon juice but can be orange/pineapple or with some strawberry puree in it, or passion fruit)
Usually served for two people with two long straws. Needless to say, they will kick your butt!

My favorite is the flaming Dr. Pepper.
Very important to follow direction.
pour one CAN of miller lite into a PLASTIC cup. Take shot glass, fill almost to top with amaretto, topped off with a thin layer of everclear. Light everclear on fire, drop shot glass down into glass. CHUG whole glass off mixture quickly.
Whoala, you have a flaming Dr. Pepper.

If you like the Ice tea-- try this variation if you like vodka--
tall glass, 1 to2 shots of vodka, ice, sweet ice tea about 3/4 full and then the last 1/4 fill with lemonade--
They go down smooth-- quench your thirst and if you drink to many of them you may drown in the pool.

2 parts Vodka 1 part White rum Several drop Bailey's irish cream
Pour the vodka and rum carefully but not too carefully into a glass. They have different consistencies and you want them to mix just a little. Now let several drops of Bailey's fall into the liquor.
Delicious!

If you're serving someone who's already pretty drunk AND the party isn't at your house, nothing beats a Cement Mixer for pure entertainment.
The drink is pretty simple:
1. Pour 1 shot of Rose's Lime on top of one shot of Bailey's Irish Cream.
2. Give the drink to a drunk buddy. Your friend should drink immediately after you poured. Instruct them to swish it around in their mouth before swallowing.
3. Duck
By now the lime juice should have turned the Baileys into alcoholic cottage cheese which is now stuck in your friend's throat. With a little luck you'll see a pretty interesting display of projectile vomiting.

Body Shots! Just one recipe.
She holds the lime between her teeth, You bite the lime (getting a good smooch in the process) then you drink the tequila from some place on her body (navel most common but there are many options)
I know this one is old but I still love em! As a matter of fact, I think I'll see if I cant get a few tonight!

I'm pretty simple. I like cold beer especially in the hot summertime after I've been working outside all day, I like doing Tequila shots with friends when we go out. I like smoking cigars & having a shot or two of Bushmills with my dad, talking politics--or rather listening to him rant about politics. I hate winecoolers but have some nice memories of drinking them w/ someone special...
I guess for me, "best drink" is more about the event and the people I'm with than the actual concoction.
That said, cold beer on a hot day is awful hard to beat...

Best drink EVER is the Buttercream.....
1 oz Butterscotch schnapps
1 oz Bailey's Irish cream
2 oz of milk, cream, or half and half
Mix the schnapps and Bailey's together, and then pour in milk. Serve cold or over ice.
OMG this is an orgasm in a glass! :lf

Your going to throw people a curveball with your coffee syrup addition. Outside of New England, they are probably scratching their heads. To me, a large glass of milk with a heavy dose of Autocrat coffee syrup is damn tasty!
