View Full Version : Where did you meet...??

I was wondering, where and how did you meet your wife/husband or/and lover? What happened?

I met my husband in a wine bar. I was in a stinking mood at the time (recovering from a bad car accident) and I had no intention of going out! I was literally dragged out by my friends! Scowling and incommunicado, I endured the first hour, and was about to leave! That was when I met the eyes of a gorgeous looking man across the room - I know it sounds crass - he signalled to me to come over (I liked that) and asked if I would like a drink. We talked for hours and it turned out that he too was dragged out that evening! The evening continued into the next day and many years later! Fate works in mysterious ways eh?

I met my husband at work. We were best friends for about a year and a half, I actually worked for him for a while. When our business was sold we moved in together within weeks and got married about 6 months later... we never dated. Not even once.

I met my wife in Cuba

I was working over 70 hours a week and management sent me on holidays to chill me out..."and pay for some overtime lol" and I met my wife the second night of that trip. We had lots of laughs and it kept on going from there!

bestest of friends ever since! Love my baby!

I was in college, at a party off campus, the designated driver of 3 of my sorority sisters. They all hooked up with guys and didn't want to leave. I was extremely bored as any non drunk would be and decided I would pity some boy and grace him with a hot makeout session to fill the time, lol, I know I'm bad, but you guys know that by now. It was hubby, the best of what was there.I should have known something would go wrong with him wearing a Dwight Yokam tshirt, I had never even heard of him. I had kissed his neck and he did nothing back, he just wanted to hug or something, hell I don't know, all I knew is if he wasn't giving anything up, I wasn't going to waste my time. lol..yes, I said it..a girl has to get her's too. Finally got the girls to leave..I could see him coming at me trying to get my number. I ran so fast through the parking lot, but he caught up.
It was just the way he asked me to dinner that got me, very unique, so different from the million others. Another reason is I was a hungry college kid, to eat anything other than college food appealed to me. We made UK"s college couple and had a full spread in the yearbook within the first year. Picked our college classes together..did it all. He was the first decent boy I had ever brought home that didn't have earrings or using me to drive them around. He came from a good family, was in school.....all of the reasons you don't pick your spouse for, everything but love.

My first husband had just been sentenced to 6 months at Cottonwood for grand theft and then who knows.... which meant I had to move back in with my folks and find a job to support myself. Not having him gone was great because I didn't have to worry about him coming home drunk or doing lord knows what else. Met my present hubby where I went to work. Looking back I should have waited but being young and starved for affection I let myself get into a situation. It hasn't been all bad, in fact in was good for quite awhile, but....it's not anymore.

I asked my hubby to be out. Met at work. Nothing fancy, but was fun for a long time. Slowly dying off now after being together for 23 years. Dated 8 1/2. He had to make sure. I guess I should have done the same...

A friend of mine had a long lost friend that started to come around after many years. One day he brought his ex-wife with him, since they were on friendly terms even after they divorced. My friends met her and thought she was very nice and knowing my fondness for blondes and long hair, thought I might be attracted to her. Well, one night they had me come over to their house just to hang around and I had no idea that she was going to be there. I didn't look my best whatsoever since I had spent most of my day working on my car. I actually looked like a bum but we all ended up going out to dinner that night and she was too shy to hardly even say a word to me but I would talk to her, crack jokes and try and woo her with my charm and charisma. :lmao ... well, I got her number that night and we went out again later that week and I moved in with her within about 5 months and got married about a year later.

My wife and I lived on the same street in elementary school. She was a year behind me in school. We went to elementary, junior high, high school and college together. We started dating after I got back from basic training. I went to get something to eat wearing my Army PT shirt. She started asking me questions about the military and came that she was going to join after she graduated from high school. I asked her out on a date and we dated for about six months. Desert Storm I came and I was deployed. We broke up while I was overseas...... The rest is a really long story

My husband was my older brother's best friend in grade school. I "went out" with him in fifth grade. Never kissed or touched. Can't even remember us breaking up at the time. When I was 19 he started coming around and hanging with my brother again. My brother had recently come home from the navy and was a real ass. I had met a few of his friends amd was not impressed! So, when I saw Kevin again, I paid him no attention figuring he was just another one of my brothers drunkin, obnoxious buddies. We got to know eachother again as friends. He wrote me a note that said...." I think fate dealt us a bad hand in fifth grade and I think I should have never let you go...." The rest is history.....

Met my wife at Church...they moved there about my freshman year....she wouldnt date me in high school...she always had other boyfriends. I was her shoulder to cry on....went they cheated etc...on her. I was to shy to have any guts to really chase her then...but was a loyal friend. She came back through the Area after I was out of college on the ranch and farm. I was single and she was just taking things easy. We hit off fast and very well...dated from Oct. to April ....asked her to marry me as I was snowing huge flakes at her apartment in April...married in July! Its been almost 16 yrs.

I was on this diving trip with sime friends in the Florida Key's and didn't want to go. I was going through this woman hating phase, tired of all the female bullshit of the flirting, cheating, emotional swings, the nagging, the bitching, the beating around the bush that you females do. LOL I swore I would never date or get married to any low life female tramp ever again. LOL I know that sounds bad, but if you I told what I had to edure with a few females then you would understand. So we are on this dive boat, the day is beautiful, and we all dive down to some 65 -70 feet. Suddenly I noticed that this super hot girl who I thought was a complete bitch was having problems with her regulator. I swam over to help as she was in a panic. I helped her to the surface as we shared my air. Topside she kept thanking me as she peeled out of her wetsuit. She was hot...in my eyes. Yet, I was pissed that my dive was ruined, but happy to help someone out. Long story short her friends and my friends kind of hooked us up, so I went out with her a week later. Once more all my friend and I were there with all her friends and her at some night club. I love to do magic and I did a trick of her with. It is one of my many better ones. And funny just before hand she made the snickering remark that I just wanted in her pants. I didn't say a word and performed my trick on her of removing her bra and panties without touch her or removing her clothes. And without missing a beat, I replied to her comment by saying I was already in her pants and then holding up her bra and panties before throwing them on the table. Totally dumbfounded she checks by pulling up her shirt and unfastening her pants to check. Sure enough they were gone! After that night she kept calling my begging to know how I did that trick and we are today. Still I haven't told her and please don't ask as a magician never reveals his secrets or tricks. But it is a awesome attention getter when you can take a woman's bra and panties off without touching them. It is kind of like David Blaine, or Chris Angel, two of my mentors!;) :55

College, due to a hurricane. Too long a story to post. Basically, I was doing sports radio on campus. Hurricane Gloria hit and they cancelled a football game. I went to my friend's girlfriends dorm to let him know the marching band would not be playing that weekend after I got the info from sports information. led to joining a trivial pursuit party where I met my wife, proceeded to give her a massage, and...well...things progressed well. Ended our time together with a morning walk around campus...

Yeah,it is definately an attention getter! I seen Chris Angel perform something very similar so I just had to learn it and it took a while to master but well worth it! Yet just say if the female is wearing a dress, it is much easier to pull off! :D :55 ;)

And I would have definately gotten your attention Cherokee! Now if I can just find a way to pull this trick off via the internet, I would really get your attention huh! Maybe we'll have to try when I am able to post a pictures.:55

Awesome MM and worthy of much recognition. Thanks I enjoyed this one. Can you do a similar trick and give her a BIG O without touching her? I'd let you do that to my wife in public if you could. I'd love to see the surprised expression on her face. LOL

We seem to have similar tastes in recreational diving, FL locale, boating and women. It might be fun to get together sometime for a social outing. Wife and I are both certified captains and can handle sailing vessels up to 65 feet with a minimal crew. We and have piloted some serious cruises with 2 other couples to North Africa (Morocco, Portugal, Souta), Spain (Marbella & Gibraltar areas), Canary Islands & Virgin Islands . We fly over and use friends sailboats or lease them from locals. Been wanting to do a private cruise off the Greek Islands and he Aegean sometime too.

We might do Tortugas or Bahamas this summer since they so close to Florida.

Ours is an interesting story. I was 21 when we met, and had been married for a year. My marriage was already a shambles though. We never should have gotten married (the sex was mind-blowingly fantastic though - sigh)

Our eyes literally met across a crowded room, and I thought to myself, "I'm going to marry this man." Weird, considering I was already married and hadn't even met him, but we struck up a conversation and the connection was instant.
Not wanting to complicate matters, we decided not to see each other again, so that I could focus on saving my marriage, and he could find someone single.
A few years later, we bumped into each other at a coffee shop. We sat and chatted for a couple of hours, and laughed at the irony of the situation - I was divorced, but he was living with someone.
Again and again our paths crossed and we'd sit and visit and gaze longingly at each other, and always one of us was involved with someone. I resigned myself to thinking he would always be the one who got away.
Then one night, when I was almost 30, my friend and I were walking down a crowded downtown street, and a man who was leaning against a wall waiting for his buddy who was using an ATM checked me out and gave me a whistle. His friend turned to see who he was looking at, and it turned out to be my man! He leapt from the counter, reaching me in two strides, wrapped his arms around me and swung me around as our friends stood by and gawked. My friend has a quick wit and commented dryly to his friend, "Maybe they know each other."
The next night we went out on our first official date, nine years after we'd met. I brought him home with me and we've been together since.

I was picking my girlfriend up from work and he was in their getting something from automotive...he was working on his car and he was all greasy so after passing him a couple of times in the store he gave me his number. I had just gotten out of a terrible relationship and wanted nothing to do with getting serious with another guy. He never thought I would call him and I actually threw his number out in the trash. Apprantly it did not make it there, a couple of days later I went to take the trash out and his number was laying behind the trash can, I decided to call him. I moved in with him 3 months later. 11 years and I am still here.

I met my hubby at work. He was so sweet and gentle. What really caught my eye so to say was that he always came to work smelling good. And he was always singing. Well at the time I had decided not to have sex until I got married and he offered me a one night stand. I said what the hell, why not. After 15 months and 22 days I was horny as hell. Well the first time we got together, I changed my mind. After the second date and a good massage, I gave in and we got married.

On my front steps, LOL. He moved in down the block from me when I was 16. My cousin was with me the day his little sister (now my sister-in-law) rode by on her bicycle. She was 9 at the time. My cousin said, "Hey, are those your brothers down there?" She got "yeah, why?" as an answer. She said, "Go tell them to come over here."

My cousin dated my brother-in-law for a little while, but they broke up. My husband and I got engaged 3 years later, married 3 years after that. He was literally "the boy next door."

His brother later married a close friend from my high school clique. I introduced them after she'd broken up with the dad of her first two daughters. They now have a daughter and a son together, lol.
