So Red and I were talking the other day about holiday traditions. Ones that our family's have done and ones that we have started for our family. So the question being for you..................... What are some holiday traditions that you and your famliy do?

Red and I on Easter put out a carrot next to the eggs that we colored on the counter. So when the easter bunny comes he has something to snack on when he hides the eggs in the backyard.

And the Easter Bunny damn well appreciates it!!!! (I hear!)

We have had an easter egg hunt every year since our first child was born - even when they were 17-18, they participated. Now, the grandchildren love it -- but claim the Easter Bunny is getting stale cuz he hides them in the same places every year.

Of course everything revolves around food for me...

We usually have an Easter Brunch....the kids come over, I make a chocolate easter cake with a coconut nest on the top decorated with easter candy, bunnies etc.

This year the kids had to work ... So I just made cinnamon rolls for Hubby and we went to my sisters for dinner.

I hate when the traditions start changing....I feel lost....but it's the way it is.

We have an egg hunt for adults. No kids around. I pick gifts 10.oo and under. Put gifts on table so everyone can see what they are looking for. Eggs have numbers. You can pick your gift in order of the number. Yesterday sis-in law hid eggs. I found 5 out of 13, but gave 3 away. That way everyone got two. of course the gifts I pick are things I would like also....

We've started buying an ornament for our son every year at Christmas. My husband's parents did it for each of their kids, and we thought it was a fun idea

being military we were never sure if we were going to be home for the holidays or not... so we always would just try to have our Thanksgiving Turkey together... and our Christmas Ham as a family... not going to happen this year..

I will spend Thanksgiving with Kissie and Mr Shy...
