Annie

Leonardo gave no known title to the painting. The title Mona Lisa stems from the Giorgio Vasari biography of Leonardo, published 31 years after Leonardo's death. Both Mona Lisa and La Gioconda became established as titles for the painting in the 19th century. Before these names became established, the painting had been referred to by various descriptive phrases, such as "a certain Florentine lady" and "a courtesan in a gauze veil."

Ok I don't know if this is right but it makes sense to me since Jamestown was the first Settlement. I know we weren't technically the United States yet, but oh well this is my story and i'm stickin to it.
So John Smith was arrested on board the ship coming to Jamestown... so it wasn't really here yet. But once here George Kendall was the first one arrested on American soil.
1606-12: ENGLAND: Admiral Christopher Newport takes the Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery out of London, bound for Virgiinia with 140 Colonists. During the voyage, Newport places John Smith under arrest for mutiny. Smith is scheduled to be hanged.
<LI>1607-05-13: FIRST permanent English settlement in the New World begins.
105 men and boys land at Jamestown. Secret orders opened upon landing name Smith as one of the Councillors.

1607-06-15: The triangular James Fort completed
1607-06-22: Chistopher Newport sets sail back for London, loaded with "treasure"--fool's gold and dirt.
1607-08: Disease is rampant. The sixt of August there died John Asbie of the bloudie Fluxe. The ninth day died George Flowre of the swelling. The tenth day died William Bruster Gentleman, of a would given by the Savages.--George Percy

If I got the question right..... my question is.....
How many movies did John Wayne die in, and what are they?
They look good to me. Here's the answer to your question:
His death is seen in the following films:
The Shootist - He is killed in a gunfight in at the end of the film.
The Cowboys - He is killed by Bruce Dern's character.
The Alamo - Playing Davy Crockett, he is killed by a Mexican soldier's lance.
Sands of Iwo Jima - He is killed by a sniper's bullet at the end of the film.
Wake of the Red Witch - He dies as the ship sinks.
The Fighting Seabees - He is shot by a sniper.
Reap the Wild Wind - He is killed by a giant squid.
His character death is not shown in the following:
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance - His character is dead at the beginning of the film and the story is told in flashback by James Stewart who is attending his funeral.
The Sea Chase - Lana Turner and Wayne are on a ship when it sinks, but the possibility that the characters survived is left open.
The Deceiver - Ian Keith's character died, but the corpse was played by John Wayne.
Central Airport - John Wayne has a very minor role as the co-pilot of an aircraft that crashes into the ocean.

In 1960 Captain Joseph Kittinger of U.S. Air Force bailed out of a polyethylene plastic balloon at 31,354 m setting a new altitude record for balloon flight and a new record for parachute descent.
On August 16, 1960, he set three world records: the highest parachute jump (102,800 feet), the longest parachute free fall (4 minutes 36 seconds), and the first person to exceed the speed of sound without an aircraft or space vehicle (714 mph during free fall)."
