I don't think 1/4 of our brain is devoted to vision and processing what we see. I think it is important that these things happen easily as most of us would be dead just from crossing the road.

if you close your eyes and let the other 3/4 take over, no telling what you might conjure up. but of course that might only be the other 1/4 for us males, since we only have half a brain (according to my wife)
