Reason not to Chat

I know a lot of you all dont like to use the Live chat why is that. but you all post like your in a chat at times.

well I prefer the threads....I very rarely go into the chat...just more open here and more comfortable for me....

For me: The live chat gets kinda slow at times, and tends to tread on the same ground of conversation.. The forums are where I learn more about everybody, and get some healthy flirting in also... :)

The threads allow me to think before I post. A different dynamic. I do like a chat room for quicker feedback sometimes, but interactive is not always what I want

the lounge is the best chat room by far because of the threads...you know more about the folks you're chating with...still I prefer the threads like PM said...

I guess it comes with time. I do have to say that I have become more comfortable with the threads. But live chat still appeals to me more at this point. Threads are still a bit difficult for me to keep up with. I guess it would be easier if I knew more about everyone and who knows who...and is with who...etc..

I prefer the threads much more than the chat. Never did like chatrooms. Sometimes too hard to follow or keep up with if there's a few people in there. Don't mind IM'ing with one person though.

The threads are nice because it's a way of keeping up with everyone when we all can't be here at the same time, while allowing sometimes deeping converstion and well thought out answers. Chat is fun too with the right people and the right mood.

I like the threads better. I have ADD, so a chat with more than one person is impossible for me to keep up with. I'm a bit low on the typing skills so I also like to re-read what I have typed, the forums give me more time to do that.

This site was set up for the purpose of chatting on posts, so that we don't have to be here all the time, but we can also go off and do our real life things and still be able to come back to see if anything was said which would interest us to reply to! And of course it does also include everyone in the chat this way, so we all get to know each other! :)

The dynamic that the posts create is so unique. Like others have said it brings more people into the conversation when they were not there at that time.

I have done my share of chatrooms but I have never enjoyed everything going on at once, I can't concentrate. I like my chats with others to be on a one on one basis more so I can get to know that person. So I would meet them in a chat room but just because I had to.

Another thing that is cool about the posting approach is others may be dealing with the same issue as you post about. They might get some thing on what you have to say or even add to your conversation. That would be missed in a chat room.

I am not against all chat rooms, I just think this approach is by far the best to be a community that cares for each other.

There usually are very few people in the live chat room. I wish there were more. You get to see a different side of people when they're being spontaneous.

At least on one occasion I've noticed someone whose live postings were interesting. I bantered a bit with her, and she IM'd me. (Until then, I didn't know IM'ing existed in the live chat room.) We've developed a nice friendship that never would have blossomed via the threads.

Which isn't to knock the threads. It just seems the live chat offers the opportunity for a different kind of dynamic.

I rarely visit the chat rooms on here, mostly just to be nosey and pop in for a sec to see if anyone is in there lol!! The only time I attempted to have a conversation in there with someone, we were in a private chat & someone else sent me two messages that made me feel more than a little uncomfortable. Since then I set my Yahoo account up & prefer to use that instead.

I love the chats just afraid to PM the ladies wish they would do it first. I preffer getting one on one in yahoo messenger but computers memory doesn't allow me to be in both places at once.And on yahoo most people log in as invisible so you never realy know if they are there or not. I always wanna be a gentlemen. But I am always horny too. you can still send a message to some one from outside the chat room. But I like it best when the woman makes the first move it kinda tells me it is ok to tell them where I would like to lick them. which of course is all over.

My problem is that you never know who you're going to talk to in there. I prefer to get to know members first before letting them see who Mighty really is. Sometimes I would go in there just to reach out to someone...anyone. But, I don't anymore. Too many issues in there.....you can be talking to the same person for a couple of days in a row and they will be a different person each day. I save the drama for my momma and would rather flirt on the threads instead.

I tend to like that there are so many threads to choose from to respond to or read.

As far as put downs go, although not always but for the most part those are jokes as well, but knowing the difference for me comes with reading even the off topic portions of threads to observe how others gel with each other.

But in post especialy if your overloading it just trying to make your points you miss a lot of what is realy going on. I don't realy pm the ladies when I am there. I talk about what is going on in life. No its not flirting but getting to know people and thats where true frindships begin.

Its not really intimidating.. its more getting the right thing to say.. in a quick fashion, and get it worded to where folks understand what you really mean.

Ha Ha...sounds about right but many would be intimidated to start out.....call it what you may...it's all saying the same thing. It's a great tool to get to make better friends as well. I love all the chatters...even the guys who act like total asses with their posts actually are different in chat.
