Hello Shiane!!!
Has Oklahoma dried out from all the rains yet? I lived in OKC from 1982-1987 and was there for the 500 year flood in 1986. I truly had never seen so much water inland before!!!

Hey hun! how are ya, have a good birthday?
Actually it's OK now. The rivers and lakes are still high but it is slowly getting back to normal. It's only rained twice this week, but the rainnfall was substantial. This is the wettest year most folks have ever seen.
No worries, I have my personal floatation devices handy! :dd

WOW that must have been a spectacular sight, very cool! All I ever see are skunks, possums, racoons, rabbits and an occasional snake.
I take it your dog has seen an elephant before . Mine would have left a trail of poo running for their lives lol.

Thats something you wouldn't see in the States. Be right back hun, I gotta take the elephants for their walk. In some cultures, elephants are sacred, is that the case there? Do people buy them, I mean how do you go about getting an elephant? Where would you keep one?:whee:

not sacred....they were native to the area years ago...they are loved but often abused to some degree...some have a great life...most people you see with them just wonder around the country living in abandoned paddacks...they consume so much the always need to move on............it seems to be a lifea style that you just get brought up around them and make a living off them.....

Yes, more wedding preparations. My oldest daughter is getting married August 25, and I never imagined how much preparation (and $$$$$) there is in putting on a wedding.

I had my future son-in-law in my office talking to him about this... I offered him 1/2 of what it was going to cost for the wedding in cash if he would run off to Gatlinburg and get married.
The discussion was cut short then the bride to be overheard and put an immediate stop to the discussion!!!
We are putting on a very economical wedding, and are expecting 200-225 people, and after all is said and done, will have spent $10K.

I saw the thread where you mentioned the song - "A Father's Song to His Daughter." and I copied the lyrics. Who does that song originally?

I think the guy who wrote it is Ray Allaire...
A few different people have used it on Wedding Albums.
