Having been on the quantity kick earlier in life I will definitely say this it is quality that counts. I would say to be especially true now since you're married. There is an expression out there about the grass always being greener and it is very true. In my opinion sex evolves over time. You get over that initial nervousness. You learn more about your partner and their desires. But you also become familiar and you know what they say about familiarity. Sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality though.
