View Full Version : Halloween is different
Halloween has changed somewhat. No Rockie Horror shows at the local movie theaters. No old horror movies like " The House of Frankenstein, The Wolfman, The mummy, and Dracula " on AMC or any cable tv. And no barn fires at the local high school.
Why is this?

I agree pebbles, but also has to do with the fact that the younger generation is so into high tech and movies that scare. The older things just bore them, and all act too old for the bonfires and hay rids.

I like those old black and white horror flicks, with the poor sound quality... I also have a cousin who really likes them, we used to watch them together (with more of the family) when we were kids. Fond memories...

It's all about money now because it's such a big business - billions of dollars. And it seems less about kids these days.

That sounds like '911' freaky, point... maybe next time if no younger kids and their parents are in sight... have the phone in hand with 911 on one button speed dial... maybe some mace... or just don't answer it, especially if you happen to be home alone (you didn't say). btw... isn't the rule no costume, no candy?... well, unless you value your tires and the paint jobs on the house and car... maybe candy...

Just in case he came back with friends....And yeah the no costume no candy is not a good idea. Don't like eggs on the front of the house...

I agree, I also think kids are not trick or treating as old as they once did.
