What the heck is a Hot Brown?
I'm pretty sure that it's one of those dishes that is like finger prints...but basically it's chicken in a savory cheese sauce, served with toast points. My version: cook a few pieces of bacon, sautee onions, mushrooms, chicken, garlic, & salt/pepper to taste. During the sautee, tonight anyway, I tossed in some beer. After I finished crying over the lost beer, I added some cream cheese. I used some corn starch and water to thicken the broth and stirred in some shredded cheddar. Stir to smooth consistency, top with more cheese and pop in the oven for a few minutes to get it all bubblin' together with a nice melted cheese top, and serve.
Peasant food at it's best.

I cooked salmon on the grill - used mesquite chips to smoke it...
dang it was good.

Went to a pool party and had hamburgers and hotdogs with all the side items to go along.

Hubby and my son took me out for dinner tonight for my birthday. We went to the Mongolian Grill; one of my favourite restaurants. I had a fantastic Australian wine with my meal too that I'll have to buy a case of! Maybe I can persuade Tiger to deliver it.
