What amazes me is that, the membership back then was only a fraction of what it today! The site was pretty new. I joined in July of that year and I was member 1,464, today we have 18,960 members!

I'm loving these Christmas themed avatars. Way to go Penny and Cotties. And, thanks Penny for answering the question. Not nearly as exciting as I had hoped. But, there is still chance to get a groundswell going to break the record.
