Do's
Introduce yourself, just as you would if you walked into a room full of people.
Respect the rules of the Chat Room and everyone in it.
Say Hello to newcomers, it will make them feel welcomed and more comfortable joining in.
Be patient with newcomers, they may not know all of the abbreviations or commands. Remember everyone was newbies once!
Let people know if you are going to be away for a few minutes by typing or changing your setting to AWAY or BRB. By doing this no one will feel ignored if you don't answer them.
Remember that not everyone lives where you live. Your native language may not be the native language of other chatters.
If you would like to address someone in particular, type their name: then ask your question.
Respect other's decision to accept or decline your invitation for private chat.
Report problems with rude or offensive people to a moderator. Do not engage in an arguement with this person. This disrupts the room and it is disresctful to other members. The moderators will have a (M) before their name. If a moderator is not present in the chat room you may send a complaint via PM to any of them or to the site marriedandflirtingchat@yahoo.com.
Be aware that moderators are not in the chat room 24/7.

Private message or "PM" someone without first asking for their permission. Jumping in someone's privates is considered rude. You wouldn't barge into someone's house without knocking first, so don't barge into someones pm without asking first.
Topics of conversation should not contain explicit or graphic material of a sexual nature ie cybering or describing graphic sexual acts. What you do in private is your own business. If you choose to bring it in the open, you may be asked to take into private. Arguing about this will get you banned either temporarily or permanently.
Discussions may happen, arguments may not. This means between members and also with moderators. Arguing will get you banned immediately.
Make unwanted sexual advances or send explicit sexual messages via private message, this will get you ejected from the room either temporarily or permanently.

Get angry at people who are rude or offensive. You will find that humor works better at diffusing potiential problems, and simply ignoring them may work better.
Repeatedly type the same thing over and over, this is termed scrolling or flooding. This forces the room to speed up to keep up with your typing and disrupts other people's messages off the screen which makes the chat harder to read and will get you ejected from the room.
