We are looking to get a voice chatroom. Is it worth the trouble? Has anyone here used them, do they work well?

I have used them and some of them work well as long as people do not play music and act like idiots on it they work nice, also it is good sometimes to be able to speak to each other, that way you can tell who is really who, no more men pretending to be women LOL

I have only listened to others speak in chat, I'm not much of a tlaker.

If more than one person talks people do get cut off at times.

I agree with Mark as well about the music. Someone can hog the whole chat if you are not careful.

Does that means wavs will play in the chats as well?

I used to have some really good wavs.

Penny if you get the voice chat thing going we should all get together in the chatroom at least once in a while, it would be great not to have to type LOL

Yes I hate typeing in the chatroom. It goes to fast and to easy to get confused. Thats why I always liked forums better :)

Funny you said that-I was on a site once talking to a supposed 30 year old girl and when I finally got a pic out of her-it was a very creepy guy-scarry actually

Why the heck would a guy want to pose as a woman?

i"m going to have to get a microphone to see what the hype is about.....Why would a man pose as a female in chat rooms?

saturn5

Probably because chat rooms are like jail-not many woman and lots of guys-lol

A mic would be a good idea to hear a real female voice.

I have never used voice chat. Once you get the hang of the online chat, you can follow the pace and what ppl are saying fairly well. It adds to the excitement I think because you have to pay attention to the others in the room to know what is going on. just my 2 cents.

I bought it but no one uses it :(

I would have to definetly vote for voice, It not only allows the non-skilled typist the chance to communicate, but also the ability to have quicker responces to the chat. people are able to have a sence of the mood and intentions of peoples words. It is less apt to get confused.
However, I will have to 100 percent agree, people need to be civil with it. No music playing all the time, and not abuse it. I agree with the other posters about this .
Also, perhaps where this is starting off smaller than yahell chat, we could control the bots, and people who arent really interested in what this chat and forum is ment to be.
even with spell check, I mispell ..LOL
Great site, look forward to coming here often..

Voice chat is pretty good one on one. In a chat room it can be good if all cooperate and don't try to be stupid by shouting and being ugly.

I have used voice chat for years and use it to talk to my family when I am on a trip overseas.
