It has come to my attention that some people may have more than one membership here. That is ok if its for fun and u publicly state it when u do it or its been a while since you were here last. You re registered a new name and let everyone know that you were here before under a different name. It's not ok though to do it to deceive other members. If you are using more than one user name here please stick to your original one and let the others die off. No harm no foul. If it continues we will out you and that will be embarrassing.:(

Thank you Penny for bringing this out,,,saddens me to think that I may have been deceived when I am such a strong believer in honesty!!!! I hope they take your words seriously and wisen up otherwise a public flogging is what i vote for!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Penny for addressing this issue. I know a few people have more then one i.d and they dont tell others. On the other hand I know a few that have changed thier i.d for good reasons and have told others who they are...at least the people they feel safe with. I dont think it's fair to switch back and forth on the i.d.'s and trick people into thinking you're someone else, it's sneaky, unfair. immature and manipulative. :pc

So, I'm still trying to figure why anyone would do this? (Besides being away for awhile or trouble at home, or other logical, reasonable reasons). I hate deception!

it is easy to figure some people out... they post much the same way.. talk to the same people.. etc... and others have told me if they switched identities.. I have another and I have told others who i am.. I use it if I am avoiding someone usually...

Thanks Krystal for pointing me to this thread. And, let me clear up for you and others, if it matters, why I asked in the room. It was not that I had any idea or intention of having more than one username, while I joked about all my various persona's it was only that, joking. I asked specifically because in the short time I've been a member here I've suspected one or two cases of multiple usernames simply from observing the similarities of greeting other folks as they come in and leave and their style of communicating. It seemed to me that when one persona is there the other has just left or will likely come in shortly...so believing if one has a question, one ought to ask and find out the facts...so I did. It was for no other reason and trust me, I'm not about to endure the torture of reaching the 150 post mark more than once. So that's that and again I thank you very much for your willingness to always help. :-)

ps see this is why I'm gaining posts so slowly...while others write one liners, it takes me writing a book..Shouldn't I get extra credit for being so wordy? lol oh well at least it's good practice for the two fingers I have that still work lmao.

I understand that alot of decieving goes on the internet..... but this is one site where I found honesty from the start. I tend to believe the people you meet ar open and honest...... i will still take one ones i chat that way until am told otherwise.....

My personal opinion is if u come to this site...and then return as someone else without telling anyone...then it's shame on u for decieving those of us who are here...and doubt I would appreciate it because it has happened before....
I am an adult...I don't need to hide or avoid anyone...if someone has a problem with me or I with them...then I will take care of it....
I have sometimes come here as invisible...but not in a long time...and doubt I will ever again...why bother...it's a waste of time really....unless u don't post and aren't on anyones buddy list...and then the mods can see ya anyway....lol

I don't understand why someone would need multiple user names to begin with, unless there is very good cause, perhaps being discovered by a spouse, etc. Kind glad I don't talk much round here anymore considering now I may not know who I'm really talking to.......

LOL tiger, ya know everyone knows who rooboy is, well most of us do! The point here is deception, rooboy doesn't try to deceive anyone, big difference. Even Penny said "That is ok if its for fun and u publicly state it when u do it", so I think rooboy is safe.
However, when someone does it for no other purpose than to cause problems or keep tabs on someone else, well that kind of malicious behavior is not acceptable.

No, I have a problem at taking people at face value ,too. And to be truthful, I've never thought about someone doing this either. so maybe I'm naive too!
Someone pointed out one new person to me, and said they thought it was someone else, it does look like them, but you never know....

Whenever I leave the state people always tease me about my Boston accent :( I dont even notice it unless I'm watching a movie where they are trying to have a Boston accent.

I know of a couple people who have had "disappeared" and then reappeared as someone else, supposedly, and caused problems again. I'm glad you and the moderators can track them down and ban them or get them to understand the rules. Sometimes there are certain circumstances (a spouse finds out and you still want to be a part of it secretly so you come back as someone else) that I understand but to be deceptive or suddenly re-appear and then act like a stalker is not cool.
