Having trouble getting into the chatroom!

I have been having trouble getting into the chatroom for some reason, i've tried rebooting my computer, it didn't work....I don't know how to empty my cookies, if anyone can help me get back into the chatroom...thank you...:sc

Missy, you might have to enable your cookies for it to work....and disable your pop up blocker.

To empty your cache, open Internet Explorer, and go to Tools....then Delete Browsing History....

I don't think it has much to do with your cache....but more with your pop up blocker. Disable that, since the chat room pops up in a new window.

Did you disable the popup blocker? Find out where your popup blocker is and "allow" popups from the M&F site. That might do the trick.

Also, if you've set parental controls on your computer....or have a firewall, these may interfere with the chat portion of the site as well. Maybe one of our resident geeks...er, very smart guys who are on the site could help you with that stuff, as I'm unsure how to remedy the firewall issues.

Have you installed Java on your computer? I believe the chat room may work with it....but it's almost 2 am and I'm unsure of my own name right now, so I don't know, LOL. If the chat room works through java, and you don't have it, then you need it.

I would try reinstalling, repairing Java, you might have some errors, or need updates or yada yada. Acrobat may need the same...

I was having the same problem last night Missy, as were a few others. Maybe not your computer at all.

Its not a new computer....it was working but, then stopped...no more chatroom for me for now...

Strange......If your java scripting is up to date an functional, plus pop up blocker is disabled...............

Have you downloaded any MS updates lately?

You might trying deleting all temporary internet files from your browser and/or perform the same for the java temporary internet files (believe should be the same for XP and Vista).

I just checked and there is nothing set any different for you than anyone else :( I am not sure why you cant use the chat. What happens when u try. Does it load, does anything show up? Any error mesgs or anything. I could try logging in with your user name if you like to try it.

no error mesgs or anything...its ok with me if you log in as my users name....thank you

I changed your user group, try again but I strongly suggest FireFox ;) Also make sure you update your flash player http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
