Make like you're going on an arctic expedition!



Dress in layers, starting with a good set of thermal underwear
keep your head covered! knit hat, or balaclava for headgear
Good, water - proof gloves or mittens. Mittens provide the best warmth, gloves for better dexterity
Pac - boots that are rated to -40! and some very good socks!!
snowmobile suit would also be recomended!
If you don't plan on spending much time outdoors, then just a good jacket, gloves, and boots.

The north eastern part you will have a lot more snow and need boots

the rest, heavy coat, or layers is actually several layers are better!
A good hat

Then again just wrap your bf around you! Extra body heat is the best!

Yep that is it. and if you do not want to do a heavy coat layer


shirt, sweater, sweatshirt, preferably with a hood, and jacket. then you put on as may layers as the weather requires.

heavy jeans are good, but definatly not a short skirt, unless you want a rude awakening when the cold wind blows! :D

Oh your list did not include a hat, that covers the ears or at least ear muffs.


If your going to do much outside, sledding etc you may want the ski mask type hat to cover your cheeks etc.

But mostly it depends on what you plan on doing, outside alot or just building to building.

Sledding Skiing, snowball fights, then you need more; car to building and staying in you need less.

At least your south of the snow belt, that is good, unless you want to do alot in the snow. And if that is what you want the snow belt is just north of there.

Hartville is a very pretty area, especially in the fall.

Your also in Amish country! So watch out for the buggies.

I take it you will be with someone that knows the area.
