Certain books inthe genres stick out. I love George RR Martin's Song of Fire and Ice....but other than that I kinda just dabble in fantasy and sci fi.

Used to read a little Sci-Fi but not really anymore.
I like some Fantasy like Marion Zimmer Bradley - "Mists of Avalon" (one of my all time favs) but that is because I love the King Arthur legend.
"A Dream of Eagles" series (as it is titled in Canada, but known as The Camulod Chronicles in the US - who knew) very cool series.
And a few other series in the fantasy genre - "Lord of the Rings" and such.
Fantasy - 7
Sci-Fi - 3

Sci-Fi - 9
Probably 80% of what I read is Sci-Fi. Especially like future history and alternate history series.
Now for my confession: My favorite all time TV Show (ok, maybe I overstate a little, but I never missed it) was Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which I would call Sci-Fantasy mixed with Soap Opera. Am I alone here?

Oh no RJ - HUGE Buffy fan here - in fact we have two cats named Buffy and Willow - does that tell you anything? We have every episode of it and Angel.

Too general for me to categorize...I generally enjoy the fantasy aspect more (oh, big surprise there, Bob) and certain authors including Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Frank Herbert. Robots and shit like that usually bore me...
