Did anyone watch Dick Clark last night and what are your thoughts . I felt alot of different feelings watching him try to get through the celebration that he was such a part of for years . My question was should he have done it again , was almost sad to see the man we all wondered how he looked so good for so many years look this way . Any thoughts out theree ????

I found it to be a little bittersweet. I was happy to finally see how he was doing, (in my opinion he seems to be doing very well) but at the same time I ached for the Dick Clark the way I remember him. I felt the same way about Kirk Douglas when I saw him on tv after his stroke.

I remember him from when I was a teen,40 odd yrs ago. He was always great, watching him last night didn't make me feel sorry, I thought he was brave to push on. Too many people that have strokes or some major thing happen just give up. I was out of the Hosp and active a week after my Quad bypass surgery and I hope as I go through my remaining years I will have the courage to get up and just do.

We watched off and on last night....I thought he was brave and it was nice to see how he is doing. I wouldn't think he'll be back next year though, that stroke sure did affect him...I grew up watching American Bandstand with my aunt and have always watched all the shows Dick Clark has hosted. Makes me feel old though, watching him go down hill:cry:

Thanks for sharing this. It is too easy to give up and drown in your fear or self pity. Thanks for the inspiration and the reminder.

Not old just a bit older--the man has never aged. Gotta show his age sooner or later. I hate to see it too--I know I am old.
