Other than making me feel good, What's the point of having "friends" in M&F?
Does accepting a friend request change anything (pics, pm, etc)?
After accepting, do I need to then send that person a request in return?
I'm guessing this info is in the manual but I'm far too lazy to go read it. :)

really, I am not sure... yes, there is the pic thing... you can set your profile pics up so that only your friends can see them... and I think you can recieve messages from only your friends.. and such... other than that it means nothing much other than someone likes you enough to want you on their profile...

The friend request just helps you see them faster, they get a + sign beside their name in the list. You will see them on even if they come here invisible.
That is really the only thing that happens when you accept a FRIEND request, Bandit! :)

Makes it a lot easier to keep in touch with the people you talk to the most. You can just go to your profile and they are all there. I really like how the profile thing works.

Like scoob says, it's the pic thing....and the fact that you can set them so only your "friends" see them. It's more a privacy issue, people not on your list can't get into your pics.
Other than that....it's like adding "friends" on MySpace.....or putting them in your "fave five". Basically a list of people you keep in touch with.

Feeling good and letting others know that you consider them friends is important to me...you make it sound like..."so what, is that all there is?"
You seem "down" Bandit...cheer up...make this place work for you...lots of happy times here...find it, enjoy it. Make a friend and use a shoulder...as you listen in return.
:ok:ok

I got my first friend request today ..I accepted but it seems that I still cant view her profile .. Do I need the 150 posts to view a friends profile too ?

I always accept requests.... I feel as if I'm friends with everyone. Until I feel as if they really weren't my friend......... Now, have I de-friended someone.... YEP
I used to accept all friendship requests....but now I only will accept them if I have had at least one conversation with them, or have gone back and forth with posts, or just have a feeling from reading their posts that they are someone I'd like to be friends with! Random friendship requests are a little creepy.

1. you can never have enough friends...and maybe sometimes the point of a friendship is not what they can do for you but what you can do for them (does that sound familiar?).
2. I am not sure but I think being on a friends list allows you to see pictures and other things that only friends are allowed to see.
3. Accepting a friends request is automatic...once you say yes, your name will appear on their list and their name will appear on your list.

I accept them...but if ya do or say anything that is fresh, rude or whatever.....to me or anyone else....ur off the list
I accept them as friend requests....not cyber buddies or anything else....I also dont have any albums or pics here...so if ya want to be friends cause you think u will see something...guess again
if I want someone to see me...i do so privately and off this site....

I don't accept all friends requests for one main reason...private album. Although I am not as ummm "paranoid" on the site as I used to be...pastryman can confirm this, I am still careful. And it doesn't happen after one conversation either. Just please keep in mind, it is nothing personal. It is my bubble that I put up around me to protect my real world from finding out I am here. I consider everone a friend until I find out they fooled me.

I only hope all women members look at it the same way you two see it....and when you get someone who was not who they appeared to be...get em the hell off that friend list.
I laugh when I hear someone beg to chat with anyone on pm as they are in the chatroom.....how crude....or want to be your friend because you said good morning to them. Wouldn't you try to chat or post with someone you want to befriend, so you get to know them better?
well these are my thoughts anyway...

Geez Bandit...your a warm hearted person aren't cha...what does this mean? Is there something wrong with M&FC? We're not allowed to designate friends to show them we enjoy their conversation? :sc We are a fun flirting site as well...aren't we? I think this is fun.

I don't get friend requests out of the blue... If I feel a connection with someone I will do a request but I have to had talked to them a short while at least...
but if someone wants to be my friend and I don't know them I will accept... if we never talk... they come off the list... if they are rude... they come off the list..

I used to accept all requests also, but have found that most of the people on my list I don't ever talk to. I did de-friend one person and felt like crap for it. I would rather have a small quality list of friends then a large meaningless list.

I think there are more people here that could benefit from having their quota of points bumped than someone who is too lazy to follow and respect the rules.
