Protected God and Country all day long!!!!!!
Well in that case, thanks!
Just wanted to let everyone know I survived my son's first day of senior kindergarten. When he first walked in the classroom and saw some kids crying, he got a little worried. Then he saw his best buddy from last year and all was right with the world!
I had two classes to teach this morning, so that kept me busy, then the carpet cleaners came, then I had to rush to get groceries before I picked up my little man from school. He was all excited and tried to tell me everything at once, jumped up and down when his puppy greeted him at the door, wolfed down his dinner, then fell asleep practically in mid-sentence after his bath and story.
Life is good.

isn't it great when their like that jazzy ? treasure every minute hon, they grow so fast
I worked....came home and planted some flowers, ate dinner with my man before he went off to work, started a baby quilt, did a little ironing. Now I'm here for my night cap before I crawl into bed.
I'm eating up these moments like a starving woman, Sandy. Just the last five years seem like a blur!

I'm planning on doing some planting tomorrow, MC, but thought I was doing it too late. Any suggestions? I think we have the same climate as you do. Any danger of frost yet?I worked....came home and planted some flowers, ate dinner with my man before he went off to work, started a baby quilt, did a little ironing. I never follow the weather....if I want to plant I plant. Perennials are quite hardy and we won't have frost for probably another month here.

Worked from home the first part of the day. Got picked on at the dentist before going to the office for a few hours. Battled through traffic to pick my son up for baseball practice during which it rained. I through BP to the little guys and only plunked a couple of them. Just got the guy to bed a bit ago. Now I'm trying to unwind before the wife gets home. Hoping I'll get lucky tonight.

I'm sorry to hear that Norfolk. Know that you will be in our thoughts. I like to remind my self that things that seem hard aren't as hard once you've done them. It's the expectations we have that make things so difficult. I'm sure it's going to be a bad experience, but maybe you can find some joy in it somewhere.

I chose not to support him when he makes intentional, informed, bad, decisions.

My son and I got home from the playground to find that someone had broken into our home. In broad daylight, on a Saturday afternoon, in a nice, respectable neighbourhood.
They tracked dog shit through the house, ripped the screen on my son's bedroom window.
They took my husband's wedding ring, his football and hockey rings, my dad's war medals, a bounch of electronics, but most of all, my peace of mind.

I am so sorry to hear about this. It's such a violation! I was robbed once too and it takes a while for the peace of mind to return. For me the clean up was cathartic. I am especially sorry to hear about your dad's war medals. What minute value they have to someone else in comparison with the value they have to you! I really hope that find the person who did this and are able to return your things.

I woke up this morning to a phone call from my sisiter telling me that I have no right coming home next weekend to talk with my son and his wife..to see what they are spending there money on and to see if we can find away to get things back on track with them paying there rent...concidering they are 1368 bux behind..it is not that I want to evict them...because they do have a 2 year old son and I do realize that winter is coming soon...I am not heartless...
Part of the trip home is to see my Mom...after all she is 69..I thought since hubby was going to the field it would be nice to give her lawn one more good mowing before snow fell...I know that my sister and brother arent going to do it for her..it takes my Mom 3 days to mow her lawn...I thought it would be a nice thing to do...
My sister actually had the balls to tell me that I do not belong there..I wish she would learn to get her bi-polar under control...and just grow up!!!!!!

I had to kick my son out, for the same reasons you are describing. Not an easy or pleasant thing to do, but definitely what he needs.

My sister actually had the balls to tell me that I do not belong there..I wish she would learn to get her bi-polar under control...and just grow up!!!!!!

Maybe these will help!!! Go see your mom, and kick your son's ass. It is your right as a daughter, and a mother.
I had to kick my son out, for the same reasons you are describing. Not an easy or pleasant thing to do, but definitely what he needs.
:kk
I will give this son till after the winter to straighten his ass out because of his son...but if shit aint straight by then...he will get the same treatment his siter and brother before him got...damn I was a shitty mother...3 kids cant get shit right!!!!!!

Kissie, don't be too hard on yourself. My kids are still young, so this is not from a parental experience, but from the viewpoint of the child, we have to make our own mistakes and it has nothing to do with what our parents did or did not teach us. I have two younger brothers and we have all made our mistakes, sometimes just plain ignoring what our parents tell us. None of us are perfect, remember that. :kk

Rainbow, you are right! When our children show their brilliance so many of us call it luck, or nature. But as soon as they do something wrong... that's totally different... it's always MY fault!
We can only guide our children, we can only give them a map, what they choose to do with it is up to them.

Jazzy, that is so wrong! It sounds like they took a lot of memories along with those valuables. I hope you get them back.

Today has been pretty eventful. I quit my job at the gym. It's a long story, lots of politics involved, but basically my boss has a reputation around town as a tyrannt, and she really is. I got out now before it got any worse.
I'm heartsick about leaving behind all my regular members who came to my classes religiously, brought me presents, hugged and kissed me every day. And I'll miss the staff. We were all like one big happy family. It was the right decision though. Too bad the right decisions aren't always the easiest.
Sorry to here that I hope you can find another one soon.
Thanks hun. I'm going to take a step back and think it over before I do anything. Fortunately, we can get by on hubby's income, so that affords me some time to regroup.Sorry to here that I hope you can find another one soon.

Up at 7, to the baseball field at 8 for a game at 9. Home by 11 to grab some breakfast before leaving for the soccer field at 12:15. Done with soccer at 2. NO F(^*&^(ING CHILI COOKOFF!!!! Instead, I got to go shopping for phones. What the hell?????
The only redeeming moments I've had today are a couple of brief conversations with someone I REALLY REALLY wanted to talk to, and calling to tell my family that my wife is pregnant. And now I'm here with you all, which is about as good a cap to my day as I can get right now.

Twins don't run too close in our family (I think one set of distant cousins on my wife's side). I hope for a boy, as does my son. My wife wants a girl. I just pray to God that if we have a girl, she doesn't turn out anything like my wife or I will have to put her in a convent!!!

Our son has a good blend of features, but will the next look more like me or her and which features? So many questions...

:whee: Interesting for sure. Laundry for the oldest for work, helped TRY to get my youngest daughter's boyfriend's horse loaded in a trailer so he can go home - no luck. The horse destroyed his halter, broke 3 ropes, reared up several times, fell over backwards, etc. What a pain. Had to motivate the oldest to go to work. Husband tried to push my buttons. Finally got the boy to bed. Bright side is getting to come flirt awhile.:na

I opened up another salon until that manager could get there from court, only to find that both her computers crashed during the heavy storms last night. I had to call in the corporated computer guy to come out and get us back on-line again. When I was done there, I stopped in at home for a break before I go to work for my own shift at 1:00. I should be back here around dinner time... I hope! I can't do anymore "crisis shifts", at least not this week!!

LOL playing tic tac toe, uno, and trivia with J on msn tooo fun!
Hubby and I took the dog for a long run in the park that runs all along the river here in town. I've been puttering around the house since then, and am now actively avoiding housework by catching up here and chatting on msn with Shiane!

Today was warm and sunny in Southwestern Ontario, so we put our son in the wagon and walked downtown to the local Y and went swimming. We had lunch together, then sent hubby onto work and my son and I went to the library. We have a terrific library here, full of things for kids to do, and a luxurious garden that one can sit in to read books. We spent the afternoon there, reading and playing and collecting fallen leaves. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky.

Jazzy, one of the professors told his students to write an essay on what they can do if they learn that they have week to die.Collecting the papers, wrote a reply to each by saying why do they wait for to do so?I like being alone and go to parks and just contemplate...about the cosmos and the cosmos inside.Where do I come from and where I am going. We are in crowd here and we are alone, aren't we?

UP early, have breakfast, get dressed and head off to work. The worst part of the day of course is that it is quite cool and I'm used to warmer weather. (That and my feet are cold.:D (I hate that almost as much as getting up early.):D
I hope everyone has a great day. :wa:

Woke up (way too early) not feeling well. Worked concession....watched soccer game. Changed clothes and went to next soccer game. Stopped at home - changed clothes and went to football game. Stopped at store for laundry detergent (probably all the changing of clothes) and came home. Want to go to bed, but you know Mom's aren't allowed to do that. Sitting here hoping, by some miracle, I'll feel better. Doesn't seem to be working. :(

Had a nice day horseback riding, although now I could use a rub down to ease some of the soreness. But it was great, just me and the hubby for once.:55 Now I am here while he is passed out in the chair. :D So much for drinking and riding!:lmao
After sleeping in a bit, I got up and read the paper over a cup of coffee, then went grocry shopping. I was having a wonderful time -it's one of my favourite chores, planning the following week's meals- until the butcher told me they had sold out of turkeys! Only two hours left until all the stores closed for the day and I was running around town frantically trying to find a turkey big enough to feed 20 people tomorrow! I found one finally (phew!!) at the little grocer here in our own neighbourhoood, then was able to enjoy the rest of the day.
We took our son apple picking and out to a pumpkin patch to choose his Hallowe'en pumpkin, then I took the dog out for a 7K run and am now kicking back relaxing.
