Got up early with the chickens, had "good morning sex" (heehee), made breakfast and posted a little. Then hubby literally sent me on a 3 hour scavenger hunt all over the place looking for sky hooks. Well come to find out there are no such things as sky hooks, and he thought it was the best April Fools Day joke ever... I laughed, and now I am plotting my revenge... haha...
Looking forward to the rest of the afternoon...

Bad day today --
Yesterday, I had to put one of my horses down -- a disease of the lower intestine (about 35 letters long). My other horse wasn't too pleased - didn't know where his buddy was. Ended up sleeping in his stall last night to keep him calmed down.
Today, I helped to get rid of the remains.
Sometimes, life just sucks.

Bike ride with the kids (easter hols) game of Scrabble, Katie, who is 8, started the game with the word 'Fart' and well it went downhill from there really, great fun! Spent an hour and half on the phone to my friend in Texas, Hubby will go ballistic! Cleaned the house, cooked dinner, performed the obligatory niceties like 'How did you day go darling' with aplomb! um! went for a run and had a shower... soon to go to bed!

I had to work a double at the salon because the usual morning guy couldn't work his shift. Then about the time I was ready to go home we got in a new high end tanning booth and we had to open up a new room for it... damn it's nice!! I guess it was worth the over-time!
Busy day for us at work as well....3 off on vacation, 1 called in sick... we all certainly earned our checks today.
The upside....my daughter went home from the hospital. Sore, but a happy, healthier girl.
Up ...made kids school lunches, showered...drove to doctors, about 8 other things to get in town...home....posted some....ate...PT for my knee for 1 1/2 hrs, help with homework..posted . here!

10 hrs in The City of London!
I lived in London for a few years, but even so have still not touched the sides where sight-seeing is concerned! Today though we (my family) left home at 9am caught the train, cruised the Thames, visited the Dungeons, queued for 40mins for The London Eye, which is the world's tallest observation wheel at 135m high, and as it was a beautiful clear day the views of London were breathtaking!

I feel kind of bad. I opened the salon and it was slow so I got busy cleaning. I took apart our spray tan booth to clean... it was really, really bad. The drain ended up clogging and when I was about to really dig in.... the owner walked in and saw what a mess it was. I've never seen her so angry. She wasn't mad at me, but damn... I sure feel bad for my boss...
My mother own a salon bk in the 70s amd 80s and still at 76 yrs old does 2 ladies on sats. But i couldnt believe the things gals do to there hair. Back then it was mayo miracle whup lol or stale beer. And i had to clean her shop every sun, with hair spray and perm got to be the hardest thing to clean

Pretty much sucks today. Was really hurt yesterday, so I finally opened up to my wife about what's been bothering me. It went where it always does...into the list of things I've screwed up and why I cause all the problems in our relationship. So, as usual, I crawled back into my shell in more pain than when I started...

Was excited lastnight when my hubby and son went camping for the weekend. Don't get much alone time so was really looking forward to the serenity. Hubby called and said that my son wanted to come home. I asked if he tried to talk him into staying....at that time it was about time for the kids to sleep....and he said that my son was just done. It was pouring down rain and in the 30's. This was a Scouts campout. So son came home lastnight and hubby went back to watch over a child he took with them. This morning he came to get my son again for the festivities today. They called about an hour ago and said everyone was packing up and coming home. One of the children lastnight came down with hypothermia. Thank God for small favors and the fact that my son wanted to come home lastnight.
Lastnight I spent all evening with the stereo and my cd's blasting. I sang and played and just hung out. Took some new pics, talked to someone special and by the end of the night I was worn out....life was good for a change......

I keep forgetting to share the best part. If your wife and 14 year old daughter enjoyed saying the phrase "treat 'em like a king, train em like a dog" on a regular basis, how do you think a guy would react?
I can see your wife using that phrase but your daughter? That is a very bad way to raise a woman.....your wife should be ashamed of herself......:nu

She's actually proud of it. Thinks if she can convince her to "train her guy young", she can break him of all his faults - or at least what she perceives as faults. I'm not saying that I haven't learned to be a better man through my relationship with my wife, but there's a breaking point and I hit it this weekend...

Pretty much sucks today. Was really hurt yesterday, so I finally opened up to my wife about what's been bothering me. It went where it always does...into the list of things I've screwed up and why I cause all the problems in our relationship. So, as usual, I crawled back into my shell in more pain than when I started...

thanks, cherokee...17 years of being beaten into submission finally caught up to me. Got home from being away for the week yesterday. I got my first kiss from my wife 12 hours after I got home, and that was just a quick peck to say see ya, I'm dropping our daughter off somewhere. I was hurting pretty badly, and later that night it launched into our discussion...which still continues when it can without the kids around. Gonna be a rough weekend...

Ya got a lot of people who can relate hun....it's hard when reality check time comes....sigh
My marriage of 22 years is very quiet....we are seldom in the same room for long at home...longer if we go out to eat....which we do so we dont have to be stuck alone together...lol
We seldom talk...maybe abut news or sports...we are like roommates...have been and will continue to be until I tell him its over...because right now, he has his head buried in the sand....he ignores it or refuses to confront me about things that he should....all very frustrating
I would rather have it out in the open...this avoiding stuff is annoying the hell out of me and making me more obvious....

I understand that, and my not opening up has been a sore spot for her for a long time. But knowing that whatever point I make will be countered with the reason I am the one who is causing the problem...well...at some point I just gave up the ability to open up. Safer just to crawl back into my shell and not be criticized...

well, not everyone can open up....some people prefer the don't ask, don't tell approach....but communication is so important in a relationship...as is trust and respect....seems to me she could use some communication classes...attacking you when you have opened up is not the answer...it only makes you retreat and keep quiet....which then annoys her...a vicious cycle to say the least...

Hubby let me sleep in this morning since I was out last night, so I had nice, slow start to the day. Once I finally got up, I went for a run with the dog, then met up with a friend for a visit. A couple of my friends with boys my son's age joined us for a hike through the woods this afternoon. It was a perfect day for it, although all of us were covered in mud when we got back!
Tonight I'm baking a birthday cake for the dog.
Yeah, I know, but she turns one tomorrow and my little boy really wanted to celebrate her big day! He's invited some of his friends and they're all trying to decide which doggie toys she'd like as gifts.

It was a rather unusual day for me, as I threw a birthday party for our dog. Our lab Molly turns one tomorrow, and my son wanted to celebrate it with his friends. We blew up balloons, baked a cake, invited his friends and their parents and put on our party hats. It was hysterical. All the kids have known her since we got her, so they're perfectly comfortable around her even though she outweighs all of them. They put a hat on her, gave her presents, and wore her out.
The best part was when they all went outside to play and we were able to sit and visit with all their parents who are all close friends of ours.

Mine was great baby. What? No four paragraphs of what you did today? Get your ass up off the couch and get with it! Well, maybe it's a little late right now, but there's always tomorrow. ;)
Cum out here to the Crazy Mountains and we'll take care of that .... uh lethargic and listless streak you're havin'.
It actually was nice to have a little mother/daughter time. One of the best insights i gained into how my 14 year old daughter thinks is her comments about on line friends. She doesn't mind guys who want to be friends and ask questions like what is your favorite anime character, your favorite movies and so on (normal friendly conversation). But, when some guy she doesn't know sees her animated avatar in Giai or another role play site and starts saying she's so pretty and could she be their girl friend, she has great responses. She tells them "how do you know I'm pretty? I might be really ugly in real life" and "how do you know i'm nice? I might be an asshole who just role plays a nice person to fool you". Most of the boys are put off by her fiestiness and leave her alone. I'm soooo glad she's got my spunk but not my interest in men yet.
You're such a smartass, ZP! No, it wasn't a four paragraph day today (geez, I do do that, don't I?!)
I'll write more when I've got more to tell, dear.
I had a perkier evening, but still nothing to share here. I'll make sure tomorrow is worth posting about, ok?
It would be if I were somewhere in the mountains, wouldn't it? :sc

Last week at work there was this 36 year old guy who came in with chest pain, and he had a small heart attack. They took him to the cath lab and opened the blockage with a couple of stents. He wasn't a typical patient, he had a long history of drug abuse. He was combative, beligerant and just plain mean. If he didn't get his way he would cuss us out, spit on us, and even threw a phone at one of the nurses. Unfortunately we can't help people like this and to be perfectly honest we really don't want to. Our job is hard enough without having to deal with assholes like this.
So anyway the doctor had actually sent him home with 2 weeks worth of plavix, which is a medication that makes the platelets slick so that the stents won't reocclude. This medication is really expensive and only on rare occasions do they give this medicine away. Well I guess the guy decided he wasn't going to take the plavix. He went on a weekend binge of pot and meth and was brought back to the hospital once again with chest pain and having another heart attack. In the Emergency room he displayed the same behavior of being an asshole, he was treating all the staff badly. They settled him down a bit and once again took him to the cath lab. The stents were occluded. They worked on him for several hours, but everytime the doctor would get the clot out it would reocclude. Finally his heart gave out and he went into cardiac arrest. They worked on him for a long time but was never able to get him back and he died.
It's a sad situation, he was a young man who had thrown his life away and there wasn't anything anyone could do. He was on a path of self destruction and thats exactly what he did, he destoyed himself.
There are some people in this world who you can't save regardless of what you do.

I totally agree. If a person is not willing to get help then all you can do is stand by watching them destroy their life. But you can only do that for so long. I am kinda of in a similar situation right now. Your last sentence really hit close to home. You made me open my eyes, thanks.

You're absolutely right, Shiane - you can't rescue someone who doesn't want to be rescued.
I'm sorry to hear that, hun. I can't imagine the frustation you and the rest of the staff feel in a situation like that. *hug*
There are some people in this world who you can't save regardless of what you do.
Wow Bobbydean! I'm so sorry to hear that!!! But I'm glad you're on the mend!
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, so may I say, welcome to the site!:wa:

The weather here today was warm and sunny, so I got to ride my bike to work today! Had a fantastic workday, then an enjoyable afternoon in the yard. I got some raking done and some seeding (is it too soon for that? anyone here know? I really don't have a clue!!) and took my son to Beaver Scouts tonight. They went rockclimbing at one of our local parks. It was a blast! I learned all the basics, and got a chance to scale one of the more challenging walls! What a rush!!

Well things are a little tense in the house right now. I have decided to leave my husband, he has decided to stay just two more weeks until he finds a place. I feel bad for my kids, they don't know about the separation, but they know something is going on. It just feels so weird, just three days ago everything seemed to be going better between us, now we're sleeping in separate rooms. I don't know if I'll survive these next two weeks. Wish me luck, I guess.

I know what you are going through, hon. I have 6 more days till I leave. Sorry to hear it. If you need someone to talk to let me know, I will be there for you. But make sure that is what you truly want...both of you's. I to have kids (older) but they still see and feel what is going on. Younger ones are the hardest though. But hang in there, you have friends here who will help you every chance they get. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry to hear that, Loli. *hug* We're all here for you, whatever you need. There's lots of shoulders to cry on, plenty of hugs and open ears too. LOL! No, it's boy scouts.
Here in Canada, we have Beaver Scouts which is for 5-7 year olds. It's just like scouts, but designed for little kids.

I think this is the only place that makes me feel better. Even if for a moment. I hate to say it but it looks like divorce #2 for me, not something I want. I'm hoping that within the next two weeks, he'll do some serious thinking. Only time will tell. Thanks again everyone for all the love and support.

I know it's hard on you and your kids, but they will be fine and so will you. It will take some time, but things will get better! Good luck hun!
