Have you ever slept under the stars? I've never done it. Time to try it....
Never slept out all night, but i have beautiful memories of summers in my 20's of summers on Georgian Bay lying out on a blanket looking at the stars. You can't even see the anymore in the city...

LOL..yeah. Waaaay too often. But I do love to camp now that I can do it on my own terms and when the weather is cooperating. There is something really magical about sleeping outside.

oh i have .. many many times!! it's awesome .. as long as there aren't a lot of mosquito's.. lol. I used to do a lot of rough camping .. we'd just head down biker trails in the woods.. maybe chop a little tree here and there to get through... and camp out on a river bank away from it all...
highly recommend it!!

Oh My ya, I live in the country and have all of my life. Our street lights are the stars.....
I love laying on a blanket and watch a meteor shower.

Yes is wonderful especially on a river bank, if you have a nice breeze, a good bottle of wine, a warm sleeping bag and a hot partner to help you count those stars!!

I am not allowed to sleep under the stars...But I am expected to stay awake under the stars (with the moon down) all night long a couple of times each month. I recruit people to do this telling them how romantic it is to watch the sunset in the desert and then be covered in silent darkness.

Haven't yet, but it is surprisingly high on my list of things to do as soon as possible. The trick will be to do it at the right place and with the right person.

Yes I have, many times. Just don't do it when it's gonna be a heavy dew night, waking all wet (I'm talkin' sleeping bag here folks) is just not good.

Yeah, I have.
It is absolutely fatastic watching the sunset down over the mountains,
and the stars begin to twinkle and shine.
Yup.. lots of times. And I love it. There is nothing more relaxing that a calm quiet night and a clear sky full of stars. Of course someone to cuddle with makes it that much better

I have many times, but it's been a while. Just need to find that perfect meadow, surrounded by mountains, a lake or river nearby... I should get back to searching for that!
ever since I was a kid...

This is so funny...many years ago my girlfriends and I went to Alabama to see some old friends. We were partying our asses off, a good ole boy from a nearby town turned us on to some Apple Brandy which I now know as Apple Moonshine. We were out in this big corn field, radio blasting, dancing in the back of the truck bed just raising hell. That's the last thing I remember until the next morning. I woke up in the field on my back flat out with a goat licking my face. Actually, come to find out we were partying on a goat farm. So I guess you can say yes I have slept under the stars and I have sworn off of Moonshine!

Not since Girl Scout camp. My cousin was in the same troop as I was, thank GOD, cuz the bathroom was down the road....and outdoors too! We'd wake each other in the middle of the night to go together....and then have to shine our flashlights all over to make sure there were no spiders or other creatures that were gonna bite our asses while we peed!
Give me a Marriott any day of the week, tyvm.
I love sleeping under the stars, beside a crackling fire...hearing the sounds of crickets, owls, frogs...gotta be by water though for sure. Ya, ok, I'm long overdue! Thanks for making me think of these kinda moments tall!

My husband and I used to live on the top floor of an apartment building and when it got too hot inside we'd drag the mattress out on the enclosed balcony and lay there staring up at the stars.......still not the same as sleeping under the stars in the country! In the country it feels like you can reach out and grab them. I miss the country!!

I miss living outside the city too. I grew up where street lights where only in town. I loved it. I think I'll save my under the stars till I find someone to share it with. It'll be warmer that way

I miss living outside the city too. I was raised in the country but live in and too damn close to the city. I remember nights when you could drive my the moonlight.

I've done it many, many times but not often enough anymore...seems my bones don't conform to the rocks and twigs like they used to. A good heavy dew doesn't make for a pleasant early morning if it's heavy enough to get everything wet, but I do miss those days and would love do it more often with the right person. That does seem to make a difference for some reason.
