Do you believe? Have you ever seen anything??

I have a friend that is absolutely convinced that she was abducted by aliens one night... and she is pretty convincing when she talks about it. She is absolutely terrified of them.

My step-dad also claims to have seen aliens in his room as a child, and his brother saw the same thing (they shared a room)... and now, almost 50 years later they still swear it happened.

Stories like this just fascinate me!!

I don't know if I believe or not, have never seen anything anyway. What I do believe, however, is that we are naive if we think that we are the only species in the entire Universe.......

I believe in aliens.....and government cover-ups! I haven't seen anything myself but have also had a few friends and aquaintences tell me stories that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

In an infinite universe, it's a little arrogant to think that we are the only intelligent form of life. The chances of 2 intelligent life forms crossing paths in both space and time are pretty slim, though, in that infinite universe. I believe there is intelligent life out there, I'm just a little dubious that it has contacted us. It also makes me a little lonely to imagine all these sparks of intelligence throughout the universe that fail to connect. Hopefully, we find a way to continue to develop and improve our chances of connecting with some other intelligence.

I'm somewhere in the middle, I can't say for 100% either way if there is or is not life out there somewhere. If there are beings out there more intelligent then us and have visited us and done studies on us...why don't they just take over..or if they have answers that we need, why not tell us, what are they waiting for?

Who knows, maybe it's us in the future coming back to get some answers for the future....I'm not closed a closed book...just wait and see...

I've seen some definite aliens....but I was in Los Angeles at the time so I'm guessing they were from south of the border.

I haven't seen anything unusual in my life...except what the kids do. I doubt that aliends would have such advance technology to fly many many light years (billions of miles) and then have problems here on earth and crash. So I'm betting on Roswell being real.

But it is fun to think about and I want to see some evidence. Maybe I should put a sign on my roof to welcome then and tell them to park at my place.

I believe....I know people who say they have seen ufo's......
I find it hard to believe that we are the only creatures.....there are others....but maybe we scare them.....

I haven't seen anything, but that doesn't mean I don't believe in them.

Haven't seen any aliens but do believe it is possible that they exist. I have however witnessed some unexplained events and believe I've seen an apparition of some sort already at a place i used to live. Others have also seen it there too.

I agree. There most likely is the molecular composition needed for life forms on other planets or other parts of the universe. I just find it hard to believe that we could be the only life form out there, if we are here, why not anything else?

I have never seen anything that would even look like an alien or a UFO. I think that God created allot of things and who knows. Maybe he was wanting something different.

I believe that the possibility exists.

I just wonder why aliens always land in a corn field in Oklahoma....and never in a populated place like NYC.

I've been to NYC and I've seen some strange things in NYC that make me wonder if that place is an alien stopping point.

I've seen a lot of documentaries on UFOs. My husband believes that there is . He swears he's seen things in the sky he couldn't explain. I think maybe so, it's just hard to really say for sure if you haven't seen it in real life. But I'm not sure about aliens being green and such, that's a little out there. I believe in God, so it's hard for me.

since according to recent measurements, the universe is at least 156 billion light years wide. Given that one light year is equivalent to traveling around the Earth's equator 236,075,151 times, I would arrogant to think that our little planet was the only one that contained life.

The actual number of times traveled around the earth to go the distance of the measurable universe is ~36,827,723,600,000,000,000. The number of known galaxies is about 100 Billion, and the number of known stars is about 1 trillion. I throw out these stats because we tend to think of our little species as so advanced and unique. I would like to think that with so much out there beyond our reach and current knowledge, that we are not the only sentient beings out there.

While I don’t think we’re getting frequent visitors or alien life living amongst us – there’s no evidence for that, and there would be some, surely – I do think there could be life beyond us. Whether it's advanced enough to holiday on Earth is another matter.

I like to entertain these thoughts, they add a bit of mystery to our existence.

A couple of years ago, I did have reason to wonder if the Earth had been invaded - while I was sipping soup in the work cafeteria!

I had my business phone on me, and it rang, and some unearthly voice spoke “You are the last person on this planet…......” Then, it trailed off, and I didn’t hear anything else. It was too mechanical to be a human prankster so I assumed it was just a scam designed to get me to call a premium number back.

It happened again the next day, around the same time, so I reported it to some department or other – it being a Government agency and a private number. It was dialler withheld so I couldn’t investigate myself.

Then, it happened again a few weeks later. This time it was pretty late, and I was probably alone in the building. Spooked the Hell out of me because the voice seemed even more warped, and faster!! “You are the last person on this planet….....” Nothing more but silence. Are the zombies coming for me, I wondered?

Well, it didn’t happened again for months later, but everything came to light when it did:

“You are the last person on this planet………...to hear about our unbelievable offer. Just send £14.99 now to blah blah blah”.

You may have a point. It's possible that they do stop here. In the land of rednecks, you hear about alien visitation often, they're the first to scream that they've seen something.

In NYC, we'd walk by them without a second glance...and probably just shove them out of the way to get where we're going. Maybe that's why you don't hear about them here??

I can acknowledge that with the vast number of galaxies and stars that life outside our planet is very possible. But just on earth there have been millions of species which died out before us humans and it took billions of years for life to evolve to produce us (assuming you believe in evolution). So the chance of life outside of earth being at the same mental level or higher and in the same galaxy to make it close enough to even consider getting here and being alive in their development at this same point in time isn't very good. So there maybe a intellectual species real close to us in space but they may have existed 100s of millions of year ago or in the future.

Space is a very cruel place with radiation and collisions and gamma ray bursts and so many other things that having a few billion years to evolve in reasonable piece appears to be the exception not the rule. And of course we probably wouldn't be here if if wasn't for that big rock which hit us 65 million years ago.

But the big question I have is why would such an advanced species even care about our planet and not make contact and yet fly around without being a bit more discreet. And what do they want with our planet ? Maybe it's just for entertainment because they're bored or maybe it's to stock up on the latest unique items at Walmart.

I have never encountered anything that I thought was alien. But I tend to believe. The universe is too big for us to be the only intelligent life forms. (Sometimes I question the intelligent part.) I also believe in God, and I don't recall anything in the Bible that would preclude any other beings somewhere else in the universe. I need some proof, though. Who knows, there may be some proof somewhere in some government vault.

I believe that it is arrogant to think that there is not intelligent life out there. As one person has said already.

I also believe it is arrogant of us to think that we would be that damn interesting to life so intelligent they are capable of interstellar travel.

By my very nature I am a skeptic, I want measurable proof of something if I am to believe. Having said this, I have personally seen two separate events that I :
1. cannot explain through logical and common routes of thinking
2. have witnessed with others of similar mindset

In a nutshell all it did was make me more open to the possibility, I still want proof that is measurable but I believe the same possibility is now very statistically plausible.

I was just starting work one morning. It was about 7am and I worked on the 18th floor in downtown Denver. As I was chatting to my cube mate, 3 silver discs flew by and disappeared behind a building across the street. I thought it might be a reflection, except a reflection would not have disappeared behind the building. WIth billions of galaxies in the universe, it is nieve to think we are the only intelligent life in existence.
