It's time to talk about the men in my life. Maybe writing about some of them will give me some perspective on what the heck I am doing in this crazy dating world.
Boy#1: Jake
Jake is a prison guard. I have to admit that the thought of him in a uniform and with handcuffs was part of the initial attraction...lol. Jake is 36 years old and a complete sweetheart. We have gone out on one coffee date and then he has come over to my house twice to hang out. Jake has some quirks...like, he'll just randomly break a silence by saying "BOOM!". Or he'll put out his fist and ask me to "pound that shit". LOL. He's kind of odd....but I like him. He came over last night and brought pizza and wine. LOTS of wine. We got completely drunk. Umm....we started to get intimate but the excessive alcohol made poor Jake go limp. So no sex for us. Maybe that was a sign....?
Boy #2: Brett
Brett is a hot hot handsome man. He's a bit older, 42, which I find really sexy. He uses big words when he speaks...such a turn on. For example, today during coffee there was a bit of a silence and he said "you seem contemplative". I almost creamed my pants right there...lol. I didn't think Brett would like me. He seemed out of my league in the looks department. But the last time I felt like that, I was surprised because that guy really liked me. So I thought, why not. I met him for coffee today for the first time and at first I was not getting a good vibe. I started drinking my coffee really quickly to get it over with. But then....things changed. Our conversation started flowing more and as he's talking about new hobby of shooting guns, he mentions that I should go out with him sometime and that he'll show me how to shoot. Okay...well I guess he wouldn't just say that if he didn't want to see me again? After coffee he walks me back to my car and gives me a hug. He squeezes me really tight and to my surprise, as he is pulling away, he goes in for a kiss. Not just a peck...I'm talking full on KISS right there in the parking lot with everyone staring at us. I then drive home with a perma-smile on my face and I get a text when I get home from him that says "I was going to ask you to do something else after coffee but wasn't sure if you wanted to so I chickened out". I texted back "you should have asked!" and he writes back "Okay....so do you want to go on date #2 on the same day as date #1?". I end up going to his house to watch a movie. Things got a bit....awkward though because he obviously had THINGS in mind of what was going to happen. I told him that I wasn't going to sleep with him on our first date (or second..whatever it was). He was a gentleman and kissed me. Oh that kiss...dangerous!!!
So those are the main 2 men in my dating life at the moment. Oh I forgot to mention...Jake wants me to officially be his girlfriend. I told him I wasn't ready for that yet. I like him....but for some reason I'm not feeling it completely. So we'll see. I'm being guarded with this Brett guy. He could turn out to be like my last hottie...a complete player and a liar. WE SHALL SEE!!!

1. Any guy that initiates silence by saying BOOM or uses the phrase "Pound that shit" while NOT in the process of having sex is immature and not intellectually stimulating enough to be worth shaving your legs for. Your hormones are getting the better of you with the whold handcuffs fantasy thing....but soon you'll find you will be bored to death dating the Modern Version of Andrew Dice Clay 2. The ACTUAL question guy #2 wanted to ask was if you wanted to go to a hotel room right then and there. He chickened out..but regained his nerve only enough to ask for a date...its' obvious by the signs that you said that he was hoping for some Horizontal Mambo time.........I mean really......who goes in for the full on suck face kiss after ONE coffee date in a crowd.....that desperate perpetual boner guy....well let's just say you don't wanna know how he got the cream in his coffee  You know me...I gots to tells ya like it is.......but keep me updated on your sexual escapades so I can destroy them Matchmaker style  |

I hate to admit anytime I agree with the "Scoundrel" but he nailed it (and gladly neither nailed you). I've kinda been following your real live dating adventures and the common vibe I'm getting is "what's your rush?" Between the two guys prior to these two guys it sounds like you're doing ok in the men department but for these guys to so quickly fall head over heels speaks to their insecurities. Enjoy going out and experiencing new things and leave falling in love and relationships to happen with time. My .02 cents, just sayin'!

ok i have to agree with Han. i mean "boom" and "pound that shit" i dont know kinda a turn off. Going limp is not a good sign either. BTW when he went limp did you say "Boom" or "pound that shit"? I probably would've
 Guy#2 i kinda like. Im a sucker for big words and intellectual convos, but he did move too fast in my opinion. Well hell cannot blame a guy for trying. And he did not go limp... so big points there. As you can see Im not much help, i havent dated in 14 yrs so my knowledge is very limited. I would give guy#2 a chance though. Oh and what happened with the last hottie?? |

LMAO Okay wow. Ummmm....thank you everyone!! I needed that wakeup call. You are right. BOOM and Pound that Shit are stupid. I cringed everytime he said it. Okay he's out.
The second guy...well, I knew what he was after and I didn't give in so points for me?? Bryan...you're right. What's my rush? The thing is...I'm not really IN a rush and I find I'm the one who has to put on the brakes all the time. It's usually the guys who push to get into a relationship with me. I thought the stereotype was that women were the needy and emotional ones? I'm not finding that at all. |

Oh and Libra...the last hottie turned out to be a liar. It turned out he was unemployed, living with his MOM at the age of 39 and he lied one night. He said he was too sick to see me but then later on facebook he was tagged by one of his friends and said he was at a bar.

Ally, use that inner sense that us women have, I think you knew something was up with each of these men and we helped confirm it a little. I'm not sure why mean need to beat around the bush when all they want to do is get INTO the bushes in the first place.
It's a silly game where they don't want to come off like men who only want to get laid, when in all actuality they are men who only want to get laid. lol Have fun and keep us posted. |

As far as the prison guard, I would be very very worried about a person that works in corrections like that and said "pound that shit". I dunno, maybe its just me. Did he drive a old mustang?? Does he know the starting offensive line from the 1986 Dallas Cowboys??? hmmmm.. Guy #2.... well played on his part, use big words and watch the panties dissolve. Is that all it takes? I've been there, done that and recently...lol. Take your time and I mean really make a point of taking your time. If you think you are ready, take another day and go on another date. Get to know him more. Unless......you just wanna eff his brains out cause he is just so damn HOT! Then go for it! LOL
But I do understand the anxiousness of it. You want to be with someone. When you find him, you will know. I promise. |
