Kissie 10-24-2006 04:27 PM

Dmy 10-24-2006 04:38 PM

Yes I am......I have a great family, job, and overall its very good. And I've made some good friends here! only wish I more friends close by!

flamengo130 10-24-2006 04:53 PM

Wow!! Not that happy. Job priorities...lack of sex...duh!!!!

Penny 10-24-2006 05:36 PM

I've been kind of depressed lately myself. Could be just the cold air comming in replacing the beautiful summer breezes

mrscvdr 10-24-2006 06:39 PM

I've been a bit depressed too! I think the cold/dreary weather... Real estate taxes due next month... etc but overall happy with our quality of life but looking for a business that would allow us to be together more often

cherokeered 10-24-2006 07:36 PM

Sometimes I am very happy....and other times not so much....I am most happy when I have time to be with Tiger....because he always makes me smile....

Cherokee...

I'm not sure that it really matters.

.Cotties 10-24-2006 08:37 PM

yeah I'm very happy at the moment...but I guess I'm on holidays

Annie 10-24-2006 08:44 PM

I'm happier than I have been in years! I went back to work after such a long time off... too many wasted years! I have a job I love... thanks to some very good advice I got from a very wise man here... I feel better about myself now. I feel like I am worth something to quite a few people, not just my family. I haven't felt this way in a long, long time!!

Yes but there is always room for improvement...I would hate to become complacent :D

funluvinga 10-24-2006 10:25 PM

No. I'm not completely happy with any part of my life. Damn, I hate these type threads. :(

Itshardon-theroad 10-24-2006 10:31 PM

Good question. I have a job I really enjoy, but it takes me as far away from the people I love as you can possibly get. I have a wife and son who love me, but I feel unsatisfied in my marriage. I have grown particularly fond of someone, but cannot spend nearly the time with her as I would like. I have a big beautiful house in a neighborhood that I can't stand. I don't feel like I can complain though because there are those who have much worse things in their lives than I do.

It makes you wonder why we can't just be thankful. It should be enough to settle for "not miserable" right? :(

I think on the whole I am thankful. "Not miserable" is an interesting way to put it though. I think if more people had an opportunity to see what I see in my work or what my wife sees in hers they would feel much better about their own situations. Would they be happy? Perhaps not, but not miserable is much more achievable. Set the bar low, that's my motto.

Well I figure if I'm Ok more than I'm not, then I'm not miserable. If I'm not miserable, I can deal with it. (For now.)

So can we be "not miserable" together?

I am not happy with my job right now, not happy with our finances, not happy with all the home repairs that need to be done.

But, I am very thankful that I have a husband who loves me and a healthy and fairly happy family. It could all be so much worse.
