not usually no,from my experience someone always wants more, those damn emotions

Binturong 11-17-2009 06:10 PM

I'm not sure; but I'd love to find a friend with benefits and test it out.

bogart460 11-17-2009 06:12 PM

love the idea, but likely someone always gets to emotional and ruins the entire thing.

Most people are afraid to say it could work because, well what would people SAY about them...

But I say, yes, if this place is for fun and release, the FWBs can work....

november 11-17-2009 06:31 PM

one person generally gets emotionally involved...unless you are in a situation where you are sure that will not happen...don't go there

Rex 11-17-2009 06:35 PM

FWB's absolutely can work.
I had at least 3 of them in the past, and ended up marrying one of them.
( she finally couldn't help herself)

I have a female freind who flirts whenever we see each other. How can you tell if if it just flirtation or something more?

sebastien 11-17-2009 07:13 PM

the idea sounds great in theory , is it practical i doubt, for some it wont be enough, then someone gets hurt , and that would more than likely be me.

virgochick 11-17-2009 07:24 PM

I have a close friend that I've known since High School and we have helped each other out when needed. He is my best friend and that is all either one of us want. The best thing is my husband thinks he is gay so he incourages me to hang out with him. God, it he only knew. Hehehehe

3pmac 11-17-2009 07:28 PM

In theory I totally think it can work.

In theory, yes, it can work. Be sure everyone's on the page. That you are friends first who enjoy sex with each other...you're not going to change your current status for them, etc.

Then, eventually emotions are likely to become involved on either side. (see Online Affair vs. Real Life Affair thread)

Again, it boils down to...is it worth it to you to risk?

be very aware of what the potential pitfalls could be...no one expects emotional involvment in this situations, but someone always get involved...and gets hurt. tread with care
