If you woke up 16 again

If you woke up 16 again, would you let your life steer its course back to where you are now and live with your regrets, or would you try to change your entire life and experience something different entirely?

I for one, would ensure no matter what i did, i still met my wife and had my 2 beautiful children, even if it meant living with the regrets i do today.

I can't remember being 16! That's ages ago!!! I love my life, so I wouldn't change a thing.

I'd do somethings differently for sure. I'd have spent more time with my Mom when she was still coherent. I would've spent more time with my loved ones that have passed. But my life choices? I don't think so. I regret marrying so young and the choice of first husband but I have an amazing kiddo out of the deal. I'll keep him.

Im genuinely interested in seeing how many people have made mistakes (all of us) but will come to the realization reading this, they call it a regret or a mistake, but wouldn't change it because they got something from it for the better, or learned a very hard lesson that they could have certainly learned in a worse way.

I wouldn't have eaten that fun size Snickers on June 14th, 1983

spock777 11-06-2014 09:57 AM

i would certainly do some things different but like some people say you regret the things you didnt do more than the things you did do if that makes any sense at all

Perfect sense. At least to me anyway haha.

It's interesting everyones opinion on the matter is quite similar.

This is absolutely the truth...I woke up on my 16th birthday a non-virgin! Yayyyyyyyyyyy... however would I want to go through that again? No it bloody hurt!

flipperfan7 11-06-2014 10:17 AM

Oh I would do things different. Being shy and nice for me nothing for almost a decade!

JumpingJack 11-06-2014 10:18 AM

I would spend less time and energy chasing that blonde girl that I thought hung the moon. Reminds me of that song about unanswered prayers!

daisyduck 11-06-2014 10:18 AM

No cause then I wouldn't have to amazing life I have now. And the regret are few and far between. Life is what you make it good or bad.

1hotrod 11-06-2014 10:59 AM

I would buy Microsoft, Apple, and Harley stock...but wouldn't change anything i did...it all makes you what you are and i'm pretty Happy with my life now!!!

billy porter 11-06-2014 11:02 AM

I would have travelled to Australia for a year to see if I liked it!

Enigma77 11-06-2014 11:09 AM

I am what my past made me and I can face the mirror everyday..I won't change anything.

Okay, not to overthink this but it sounds like from your explanation, that I'm 16 w/ the knowledge/wisdom I've already learned...like Back To The Future (shout out to my fellow Gen X'ers who saw the movie before it was on VHS).

In that case, I'd change my self-confidence and would know that I'm far more capable to do whatever I want than what I thought back then and the girls/women I dated.

If I just woke up being 16 again w/o the knowledge/wisdom, I'd be depressed cause I'd hate to be 16 in this world today.

redwing 11-06-2014 03:49 PM

I would have more sex in my 20's... oh hang on... not sure that's possible :sc:

Oracle90 11-06-2014 07:02 PM

It would appear I was right in as much sense as Noone would really change anything...not even the minor details save a few. Everyone would happily let it unfold back to now and not attempt to change anything along the way for the better or worse.

P.s love the avatar, red wing don't see too many actual head/faces, you look stunning.

Stew 11-06-2014 07:48 PM

I'd look up Molly Shattuck................

dixiechik 11-06-2014 08:16 PM

If I woke up at 16 again I'd probably be sitting on a couch with a Hawt guy and his hand up my skirt playing with my pussy...wait hell that happens now. So nope I wouldn't change a thang.

Oracle90 11-06-2014 08:20 PM

I Iike you Dixie.I like you a lot.

Rapscallion 11-06-2014 08:23 PM

I wouldn't have fucked about in school as much and got better grades. I never did horribly, 3.1 overall GPA. But I could have had a 4.0 if I had wanted to apply myself, got into a better school. I loved my time at WKU, but yeah, I could have done better than that if I wanted to.
