Yea, ok, probably not.

Hate to say it..the franchise was doomed the moment they chose their team color as purple and their name. Swashbuckling baseball team...Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum!

Cuddyer is going to do great for the Rockies...in that stadium he is gonna launch the long ball! btw...The Rocks are my fav NL team and I love their park!

Little bit of sympathy here for the "Twins" fan? Although, wearing a jersey with the word Twins across my chest is...well it just is!

Purple? What were they thinking? Well, they have won in black and gold, but still. The city needs to get rid of the owner. And Pirates sounds better than Orioles or Cubs or Padres... or Twins... right? The name actually has a pretty funny history.

Well I do have to agree with u on Cubs..baby bear does not bode well for domination..on anything. Well Twins is kinda apt since that is what they call Minneapolis.

A lot of the less-than-stellar names are derived from location, of course. Like Cubs, Padres, Astros...

I think he will do great there too. I've been to so many ballparks and Coors is by far my favorite. There isn't anything quite like sitting in those right field seats looking out at the mountains and enjoying a game.

They've been saying it for 20 years so there's good reason to not believe it. But alas, this time I think they will move. The evidence is the players that they're discarding, and what they're getting back: not major league baseball players but prospects who will be ready for the bigs in 3-4 years or, coincidentally, about the time it takes to build a stadium in, say, San Jose.

They traded 2009 Rookie of the Year closer Andrew Bailey to the Red Sox, #1 and #3 starting pitchers, Gio Gonzalez to the Nationals, Trevor Cahill to the Diamondbacks. All three are young players under very budget-friendly contracts so it's not a budget issue. It's a matter of stockpiling young, cheap talent for the future.

Baseball - just a bunch of overpaid sweaty guys playing with their balls. Figuratively and literally.

As a life long, die hard Cardinals fan, I can only expect to be disappointed after last years amazing come from behind run and victory. I'll miss LaRussa and Pulols but having watched such greats as Musial, Smith, Gibson, etc. over the years, my loyalty will always remain with my hometown heroes. St. Louis is and always will be a baseball town.

While I understand your fear for a move, I still am not convinced. I have watched the Twins do the same thing, dumping players to rebuild, year after year. It's called finding the right fit for the right player. A meshing so to speak. Also I see they picked up Coco Crisp...2 years/$14 mil. Don't put the plate before the strike just yet

I dont mean to be insensitive, or geographically inaccurate, but the A's are going to move to San Jose, right? thats just at the bottom of the bay, isnt it?

IMO the Nats would be fools to sign Fielder. They are building a strong team of young up and coming players and a fine pitching staff that will shine in the future. If they shoot their wad on Fielder, they won't have the cash to sign players like Espinosa and Ramos. I am not a Fielder fan myself. I think he is a horrible defensive player, no adaptability. Sure the bat is huge, but is he worth the high price tag? Besides, where would the Nats put him? They already have two good first basemen and Fielder cannot play any other position.

I know. I'm just spoiled by having them just down the road. See, I don't watch them on TV, I go to the games every week or two and having them 50 miles away will kill that. It's like saying, Too bad your girlfriend moved out, but you know she's just moving across town. Might as well be Philadelphia.

Maybe I'll be glad they're gone after this season though. Seriously, we had 81 wins last year and now we've jettisoned half our starting pitching (the other half is still IR) and our closer. And pitching was all the team had. I'm expecting 65 - 70 wins this year. Seriously.
