Default "Strangest" music you listen to ?

**(disclaimer - This is a shallow thread, and yes I am aware of it )**

We all have to maintain appearances, be it for work, school, etc. From time to time I have met people who listen to some types of music which
are not in sync with thier appearance. (ie. a suit with someone who listens to Metallica or Gangster Rap - Think "Office Space")
I think it would be interesting to hear what people really like to listen to when they are at home, away from the world.

Me ? I fall into the Suit&Tie catagory, but one of my favorite types of music is electronica/industrial/rave/techno. (Metallica is reserved for the gym only) I am also a huge "Queen" fan.

I am all over the place, music is .. i dunno "my thing" I can go from Andrea Bocelli to 50 cent to Kenny Chesney to System of a Down........ then i always love the little obscure bands no one has heard of, or new ones i like to predict will make it... ya.. no way for me to say... .... there is always music!! and it seems you can find a song that expresses pretty close to how you feel if you look hard enough

ok... what is strange to one may not be strange to another... I actually listen to everything from classical to hip hop... I think I can find beauty in all music... you have to really be able to listen to it... to absorb it... let it flow over you and through you...

but that is me...

I listen to anything from symphony to metal. I enjoy and can sing along with songs that were popular back in the 50's. The albums I get the most eyebrows raised at are my disco cds.

Sometimes I get in a mood for classical music. That usually goes away after a couple of days. Other times I get in the mood for Latin music. I have no idea what they are saying, but I just want to Cha cha, and salsa every time I hear it. Then other times I get on an old school rap kick. LL Cool J, Run DMC, Blackstreet. All the good stuff. I even like the old Marky Mark stuff. LOL

I'm with the majority here. I can appreciate various types of music.
I have a lot of music from the 80's that are kind of "strange" I guess, but I like strange...lol

Personally, I like all types of music; I especially like the Red Hot Chiili Peppers as well as the Beatles and all between.

However, the strangest music I enjoy would have to be Frank Zappa

Being a musician, I can pretty much appreciate all types of music. I'm more into good old rock and roll than anything else. I love going through the myspace bands and listening to the original music. There's plenty of strange stuff there along with some really good bands.

Ok, since you people are admitting to Milly Vanilly and Vanilla Ice.....

I'm an Elvis fan....he's before my time, but it's what my dad used to listen to when I was younger....I probably know most of the words to most of his songs, lol.

I am an 80's hair band junkie. I bought XM just so I can listen to it (after Opie & Anthony) and I also have a Sirius in my work truck that stays on there hair bands station.
But I also am a HUGE "Good Charlotte" fan.
Of the older stuff, I gotta hear Christopher Cross at least once a week.

I am a big 80's fan as well. I also listen to a lot of alternative and some grunge. By looking at me I suppose you'd think I'm pure Country or Soft Rock...........

Most people don't take me for a country fan but they really wonder what's up when I'm singing along to Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra or listening to the bagpipes. That blows their mind.

There are very few kinds of music I can't listen to...from Barry Manilow to Dwight to Tool...I like it all. My favorite is Blues: SRV, Buddy Guy, Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Frank Marino, John Lee Hooker, I could go one forever. I love going to places like New Orleans or Memphis and finding some little dark, smokey, dive featuring an original blues band with a harp player and someone playing slide on a Dobro. I'll sit there all night letting that music envelope me.

Favs are alt country, 80's/90's alternative, grunge and Minnesota rock (Prince, Replacements, Dan Wilson, Gear Daddies, etc.) but my guilty pleasures musically include cheesy, feel-good old pop songs (The Monkees, Neil Diamond, Carpenters, etc) and, if I know no one's watching, hopping around to songs like "Brickhouse" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrBx6mAWYPU (she mighty mighty just lettin it all hang out!).
