Well I live in Bama and it's not much different than georgia, but I love it here!

I love where I live....walk to the bayside...ferry ride to the quaintest little island...40 min drive to the best beaches is Aussie....fantastic family orientated suburb...quiet street with wonderful neighbours and the inlaws are in another state.

Why the did this thread take so long to be born.
I live in Illinois just a hand full miles from Chicago. Where life goes on 24/ 7 if you have the will you can do it. Wisconsin Indiana and Iowa are just a few miles away. The government is not the best but there is a lot of jobs here plus you it will pass though this town. Plus IM here now get over here darn it lol

I've grownup and lived in Boston and it's suburbs my life. Great culture and plenty to do. Excellent universities and 1-12 education in the suburbs. Biggest negative - expensive.

I would like to be a little further south. Not too far cause I don't like it too hot. Just far enough where the winters aren't so bad.

The Pacific Northwest, and yes, I love it here. Lots of diverse job opportunities, gorgeous scenery, and my current location is experiencing job/housing growth.

My family are midwest transplants from when I was in Junior High. We still get occasional family/friends moving out here for the opportunities.

So Cal of course, which Shawn has already mentioned. The cost of living is a little higher here, but so is the pay. Plus we rarely have to turn on the AC and not the heat that often either. There is so much to do here, you'd never run out of places to go.....not to mention the fact that you can be in the mountains in the desert and at the beach all in the same day. Oh yeah...and the weather is awesome.

I think you can make the most of where you are with the right attitude and a positive look. I love where I live, it's hot in the summer (desert) but has temperate winters. Can be on the coast of Southern Cali in a matter of a few hours, and enjoying a nice sea breeze... Location, location, location...
