I guess at this point in my life you would call it patient humility ... This is where I am making any number of sacrifices so my husband can full his dreams ... No I dont like living in a place where I dont know anyone and my family isnt here ... but he has given alot to me and my sons so he deserves this time ... just pray the next 8 months go quickly very quickly ..... Sometimes it really cant be about yourself it has to be the other one involved ...

not quite in the place I want to be, certainly not in the place where I need to be... but I am content at the moment... and have some sense of stability when I am around him... his calming voice and his presence make me feel safe... I need to feel safe... healthwise I think I am on the brink of something... not sure which way that will sway... my heart tells me one thing and my head says another... seems I am very guided by my emotions... I'd love to believe I am headed in the right direction but I am bound to his a pothole I dont really need...

If my life was a text book, I'm currently writing a chapter review...somewhere around Chapter 5. I have no idea what the next chapter is about or how many there are going to be in the book...my obit will the be Table of Contents. But I'm definitely finishing one chapter now and am looking forward to the next.

Starting over again. Too many job changes in the last few years. This one seems far more stable but evrything else is unhinged. Dont know where I am because I dont know what I want or where I am going. Hint. Dont follow me I am lost too.

Even though there are some things in my life that are pretty screwed up right now, I believe I'm right where I should be....
I'm achieving many of my goals, and have a new sense of self confidence. I no longer let fear, or the opinions of other people get in the way of pursuing happiness and success for myself. My life is finely headed down the right path.

Tough question Savvy. Physically I am in better shape now than I have been since my early 20's. My head is screwed on straight.(I think!) But, do feel a change coming. Maybe that new chapter others are posting about. Or maybe this is just something 53 year old men go through. Dunno for sure. Guess time will tell.

I am in a place in my life right now that I have never been happier. The only thing I could wish for is my bike to get out of the shop faster. I have an amazing wife. 3 awesome kids and a good job.

I look back on my life and see the small compromises I made in and to myself to provide my SO, myself, and now children, a better life without outside family support. I see where the divergence started, that gradual drift away, and it saddens me. I never set out with the intent to be on the path I am today.

The solace I do have is someone I should have met from the beginning. The problem is reconciling the responsibilities I know I must keep to my children and loving her, an incredible woman that deserves to be loved, without reserve...

I am sitting here, reading all of your wonderful thoughts as I drink my cup of coffee after spending almost 9 hours without power due to a very bad storm system last night. And thinking I was totally unprepared. The flashlight batteries were low, I had one candle, and couldn't find any matches. It gave me new insight into being prepared and thinking I take life for granted.
